Recently upgraded, Sanpopo now has a unique split-level layout. Upstairs is an air-conditioned bedroom and living area with queen bed, cable TV, dedicated desk and chair, foot massager, essential-oil diffuser, large walk-in closet and private bathroom with hot water, bidet, shampoo and body wash. Towels and bed linens are supplied.

Downstairs is a fully equipped private kitchen and dining area with a 4-burner stove and full oven, double-door refrigerator/freezer, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. Extras include a coffee maker and grinder, complimentary coffee beans, sugar and Coffee-Mate, toaster, blender, waffle maker, popcorn maker with popcorn, slow cooker, electric kettle and undercounter filtered drinking-water system. A cooler box is provided for day trips.

The wraparound treetop balcony overlooks our tropical gardens, where hummingbirds, woodpeckers, tanagers, chachalacas, iguanas and squirrels are regular visitors.

Free Wi-Fi and on-site parking are available. Our family lives on the same secure 1.5-acre property and personally welcomes guests, while Sanpopo remains completely private. An ideal base for exploring San Ignacio, Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, ATM Cave and the wider Cayo District.
