Welcome to Casa Maruka, a recently renovated private home in a quiet residential neighborhood in San Ignacio, Belize. Situated in the heart of the Cayo District, the house is a 5-minute drive or 15 to 20-minute walk from downtown San Ignacio's markets, restaurants, and nightlife. We recommend guests have a rental car to make the most of their stay and to explore the wider Cayo District with ease.

Inside, you'll find two bedrooms with queen beds and individual air conditioning units, two bathrooms with hot water showers, and a futon in the living room that comfortably sleeps an additional guest. My kids are still talking about "Maria's house." It was not only clean and fully equipped for a comfortable family stay with the kitchen, laundry and washrooms but also had lots of little extras like books on Belize and board games, which they loved. The second floor balcony provides a great view and spot to relax. The property is slightly out town along hills so we walked or took a taxi which was worth it for us for the space, quieter location and amenities. Maria was very responsive with our questions before arrival and checked in to make sure our stay was going well.

The most clean place I’ve stayed. Very thoughtful amenities and excellent communication by the host. Beautiful and very comfortable home. Close to everything in San Ignacio especially if you have a car.

Home was very clean, and nicely appointed. Everything we needed for cooking our meals was available in the kitchen. The rooftop deck was especially enjoyable & the view is outstanding. Our host, Maria, was attentive & responsive. It was a great home base for all the activities we did in the area. I would highly recommend staying here!
