BEST hotel EVER in San Giovanni Rotondo!

Very gorgeous & upscale hotel. All marble floors, chandeliers & an EXCELLENT location to the church. Very friendly service. There wouldn’t be another hotel that could beat this. The woodwork at the check in was so ornate & stunning. I even bought an oil painting on canvas of Padre Pio from a famous artist that were for sale in the lobby.

This hotel is in desperate need of repairs, the walls were dirty and peeling, tv didn’t work, shower was very small, I am 5’06” tall, 140 pounds and while showering I would bump onto the walls. Furniture was dated.

The hotel is nice and clean, convenient facility parking spaces and free breakfast in a large dining room. But there is no place in the bathroom where one can put the toiletries or even clothing , it’s very inconvenient going out of the bathroom to get your things every time one showers or washes .

I will present a claim because since we get in, the hotel said we asked for a DOUBLE ROOM, and that means 2 rooms. I already checked thru Expedia the reservation and checked we only ask for 1 room. Bad service from the people inside because never wanted to give us the credit back. The hotel only cost around $47 euros per night

Our stay in a Palace in San Giovanni Rotondo

From the moment we arrived (even though it was late at night reception is open 24/7) we were welcomed by friendly staff. We stayed off season and were treated extremely well from early breakfast to evening meal. Stephanie and all the other members of staff are there to help with every query, directions, bus/train times, etc. THANK YOU. Will definitely recommend and stay in Palace Hotel again.

A great stay in a great hotel.

We stayed in the hotel in July. I enjoyed staying there. I was a little worried about parking before arriving, but they had a big underground garage with plenty of space. The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is within walking distance of the Sanctuary of St. Mary Our Lady Grace and Church of Saint Pio of Pietrelcina. We spoke no Italian, but we did speak English and Spanish, so communicating with the staff was no problem since they spoke one or the other.......or both. The only negative thing I could think of is the food. We only ate dinner at the Hotel one time and the food was not very good. Maybe it was just that day. Breakfast was alright. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, which is what we did. I would stay at this hotel again.

A nice find, especially for devotees of Padre Pio

This is the perfect place to visit the sites dedicated to Padre Pio. As we were there only to break a long drive South to North, we only spent time in the hotel itself, and didn’t use it as a base to explore the town. The decor is a wild mashup of styles, but everyone, especially the waiter we had at dinner and breakfast, was very kind and went out of their way to please.
