Thanks to its mix of stately Victorian homes, new-build high-rise apartment buildings, and dynamic dining and entertainment scene, East Village is ideal for newcomers to the city. The eclectic dining scene includes everything from vegan fusion cuisine to brewpubs and beer gardens. You'll also find a variety of food trucks throughout East Village. The neighborhood is the setting for San Diego's beautiful Central Library, where the reading rooms look out on the bay and visitors can marvel at the works in the on-site art gallery. Another local highlight is Petco Park, home to the San Diego Padres baseball team.
