The pictures are WOEFULLY deceiving.1. As other reviewers noted, the locks in the front and back doors are inadequate.2. We didn’t realize that other people would be on the property (apparently accessing something in the back).3. We did not have access to all areas noted in the photos.4. There was litter scattered in the yard to include empty alcohol bottles.5. We noticed an odor as soon as we walked in. It was the sofa. Wiping it down with disinfecting wipes didn’t help.6. The walls are paper thin. The bedroom felt like a motel room. We heard the foot traffic around the property.7. We understand the property is older, but basic maintenance is needed.We were so disappointed and uncomfortable, we didn’t even brother to stay there on the second night.

Respite on our way home

Got a good nights sleep. Safe off street parking was the big plus. Great host very accessable. Loved the sofa and TV set up. Nice neighbors.

Never been to San Antonio so it was interesting. Now the home was small and quaint. Had enough space for the five of us. You will need to bring some extra towels and maybe some extra cooking and eating supplies because they are sparse at the house. But they are litterly 2 blocks from an HEB which was nice. But for the length of time we were there we were fine. Diffently close to everything we wanted to do .

Lacking basic guest safety

This property has no lock at all on the front entrance door and no bolts or keyless locks on the inside of either entrance door. This violates basic rental law in the state of Texas and also violates VRBO’s regulations for basic safety. We checked in very late as early accommodations for check in were not possible and we were staying in town for a dance competition. It was very difficult to find the property at night as the only house number for the property was not lit up on the front porch. Not having a light on was also another safety concern. The front screen door had a keypad lock, but the actual entrance door or security door had no lock at all even on the knob or door handle. The back door is not a security door either as the top half is glass and the only lock was the keyed door knob. As two moms staying with our young daughters in an unfamiliar area, this was deeply concerning. I had tried to message the owner that night when locating the property and got no response so we decided to sleep with all the lights on and put some chairs in front of the doors as finding a different stay for the night is tough at 11 PM.I had messaged the host several times to verify the two free parking spaces before arriving and he never responded to my question. When I brought up the safety issue, he instead got upset that we had moved furniture and parked in the driveway when he clearly advertised free parking on the property..

Not worth the money. Dirty.

Unfortunately, the main bedroom and some bathroom linens were extremely dirty and we didn’t realized it until late at night. Upon arrival we realized that the property info listed in the VRBO was incorrect and the back property was double booked.We were then quickly moved to the front part of the property. The walls are paper thin so you can hear every car that drives by late at night, or when other guests are arriving/ leaving. There’s also active road construction from dusk to dawn to the house gets dusty and loud all day long. Although the host was responsive, our expectation was to arrive to a clean property, not to change up our plans so a cleaning crew could come by and change up used bedsheets from a previous guest. This was a not a cheap stay and it was NOT worth the money. Spend the extra 50 and stay elsewhere.

Spacious and Simple

Everything was nice. The bathroom was a little odd with the lights behind you as you get dressed. Everything was clean, and simple. Bedding is adequate but maybe could use an upgrade for more of a luxury feel. Over all a good stay though.
