We always try to stay at a Holiday Inn as they are one of the few hotel chains that do not allow pets. My husband as severe allergies and this is an important factor in determining where we stay. This location is wonderful as it is right on the Riverwalk and therefore has a ton of choices for restaurants. The only complaint I would give is the room and a slight foul smell, but I believe it was from the water in the bathroom.

Understaffed, no luggage carts available when we checked in with no apologies, dead plants in planters outside, unkept landscaping with a rat spotted, missing light bulbs in outside fixtures, room not stocked with towels. Generally run down appearance on a property that has been wonderful in the past and could be again with some TLC.

Rooms with noisy beds. Not even water bottles in the room, and not one of our requests at reservation time, was done. On top of it, they are charging us for rooms with a view of the river… our rooms had a view of their tiny pool.

Great location downtown, with a patio and ground-level exit that leads directly onto the Riverwalk. The room was comfortable and a good bargain for the price. The for-purchase coffee and breakfast options in the lobby were limited, but there is a Starbucks directly across the street.
