The only positive about this place was a pretty good location. However, its on an inactive section of the Riverwalk. Close walk to the active area. Worst part was the lack of helpful front desk personnel. 1. Dont answer the phone....fire alarm went off at 9am and no instructions. So we called, no answer. So we evacuated (pajamas). "Oh, our room speaker must not have worked, they announced a fire alarm test." No apology, no nothing. 2. tried to call the bar/grill to order dinner. (Restaurant was closed for renovations the entire stay, ugh. My husband had a small health issue and couldn't go out for dinner 1 night. ) No one would answer bar/grill phone. so I again called front desk to ask if the grill was open ( 8pm). They told me I had to go there to order. They were too busy to answer phone. So I walked to grill and no one would take my order. Bar patrons gave me a drink while I waited ! lol. They said the workers were just bad. So, I finally went to vending machine and got goldfish crackers for our dinner. 3.Needed to take my husband to ER. No help from front desk about good/bad local hospitals. No calling a cab. The bellman did help us find a cab company to call. 4. For anyone wanting a nice pool area, look elsewhere. Sterile, dirty and not a piece of greenery in sight. No one was ever there throughout our long weekend stay. We did enjoy the RiverWalk area (b4 the health issue), but without any help from the hotel we selected. Shame on you HI.
