The hotel is located 10 minutes from semuc champey which makes this a great place to stay. Not a luxury hotel but fair for the location, price, swimming pool, tours available and the river and nature surrounding it. Staff is helpful and friendly. Food is good and not too pricey. Good environment for families, couples or solo Travellers.

I was pretty uncomfortable in my room - it was right by the entrance and bathrooms so it was noisy and smelled like a toilet. Also had many ants, and one giant roach made its way into my bathroom. The front desk didn't have bug spray. The good parts: super easy to book tour and transport, I had a nice time in the pool, and had a delicious breakfast.

A great place to stay. We arrived at 8am and we were given oir room key straight away. Great to get an early chexk in after an overnight bus. The staff were friendly, the breakfast was really good. We would stay again and i would recommend oasis to anyone.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. Rooms were great for the price - no a/c but fan provided in the room, beds are quite firm (but I like that). Had booked cabin with private bathroom - tin roof could be quite noisy with things falling from the trees - but didn’t bother us too much. Two swimming pools - that seem warmer than the river. Great area to relax on and water slide into the river itself is good fun. Restaurant and bar are very reasonably priced. Only thing that would really make this place amazing would be hot water for the showers. :) parking is pretty straightforward.

Everything was perfect. Location and view were fantastic. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. Our guide Felix was extremely friendly and kind, he sure made our experience even better.

It's a gorgeous property and the staff is AMAZING. Property is always getting updated and the owners care about the local people as well as tourists. There can be issues with electricity/water with passing storms, etc., but this is not specific to Oasis. One has to remember that it's a different country, so roll with it and enjoy the scenery!

Relaxing Stay in Lanquin

This property is absolutely beautiful. Right on the river with amazing views. The staff were all very polite and helpful. They arranged a tour of Semuc Champey for us, which was a short truck ride away, as well as a shuttle to return to Antigua. We stayed for 3 nights and ate all of our meals at the hostel. They had a fairly broad menu (though not many vegan options) and everything was prepared well.

Didn't pay for 5-star hotel so didn't expect 5-star conditions, only cleanliness, instead after driving 7 hours in the night to get here, with a kid as well, they gave us a dirty room with dirty sheets, full of different flying bugs. Told a guy about it and he had the audicity to give us "clean" sheets to change them ourselves, some of them didn't even fit so in the end he changed our room. Next day we arrived later in the evening at the property and they told us we didn't respect their rules and we have to leave. Of course we didn't leave as we haven't even been noticed in advance and it was our last night in there. Nobody speaks a word of English in there. I would avoid this place.
