Dog-Friendly Lakefront Home w/ Dock in Saluda

The large wooded lot at the end of the road offers privacy and excellent bird watching, while not blocking the spectacular views of Lake Murray. The mists over the lake in the morning are just exquisite, and since the house is at the southwestern reaches of the lake, it is very quiet. We highly recommend enjoying coffee on the back patio or dock before heading out on the kayaks.

The large granite kitchen island is the perfect breakfast bar with comfy stools, and the entire kitchen/dining room/living room is one large open floor plan. The main bedroom & main en-suite bath are at one end of the house, separate from the other 3 bedrooms and the bonus lounge (2nd living room area).

Outside, the expansive, fenced backyard provides a safe and fun space for kids and dogs to play, complete with a playset and direct access to the dock. As the sun sets, gather around the custom-built, industrial-style firepit with eight Adirondack chairs, perfect for relaxing evenings spent stargazing or roasting marshmallows.

Renter beware! The listing does not mention that this property is a double wide manufactured home on a permenant foundation in a neighborhood of trailers. There are no pictures of the unsighly large cargo shipping container, propane tank, and tin covered carport in the front. The "What's Nearby" pictures conveniently do not include the trashy looking trailer next door within feet of this property. I asked to cancel and get a refund. VACASA gave me the run around.

Great yard for kids and dogs!

The home was very spacious, many things were provided with extra thought, and the yard was perfect for kids and dogs. The only downfall is that the lake couldn’t be accessed by land, only by jumping off the dock, and it would be a new feature to add some gravel to the driveway to help with host trailer! Overall great property though.

We were a group of 6 men who travelled from this quiet property to the masters. After a long day walking it was so relaxing to come back to this quiet serene property. We had plenty of room with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again if in the area. Awesome home.

Run down and neglected neighborhood. Pictures are all misleading. Pulling into the neighborhood there were pit bulls off leash wandering and neighbors staring at us. Can't see the lake at all from the property, it is not water front in any sense. The fenced in yard is tiny and there was trash in the yard.We left and booked a hotel. If I could give this property negative stars I would.The only nice thing I can say about this one is that the interior of the house was clean. Whoever posted the other reviews of this place must be shills.

Wonderful get away

Beautifully appointed home with great attention to detail. Cabinets and drawers in kitchen are thoughtfully labeled, there’s an “emergency closet” with extra batteries, flashlights and a weather radio which came in handy as we lost electricity our last night. The lending library was also a great touch and I was able to read some books that have been on my list for years. We were on the water most days and the dock made it great to easily tie up the kayaks when we needed to. The hot water heater needed replaced during our first 3 days at the location, internet was lost several times with the last day of our stay being off from about 6 pm the night before and did not return before we checked out that morning. None of these things were the fault of the hosts and once we reported the hot water heater, the repairmen were there within 24 hours. Would totally stay at this location again..now if you could just do something about the darn fish not wanting to bite, that would be fantastic.

Lakeside retreat

Lovely lakeside home; large and well provisioned. The only suggestion would be cutting the grass, but that did not really bother the stay.
