Always love this area downtown love to walk around.The balcony off of room 419 the thresshold on the door going to tne balcony is not supported it sinks down about 1 inch. Also there are several pavers that are not supported and and they sink down around a inch.

Vacation in Independence at the Independence

My husband and I had a great experience. The independence is in a beautiful location. They are very dog friendly. There is a nice cocktail and breakfast area. Our room was comfortable and clean. I especially liked our enclosed patio area that looked over the local park and river. It was nice being just a block away from the main street and able to get local food coffee pastries. There’s also nice bookstores and antique shops.

No where to hand up Robes or towels. Bath room lights were on a motion detector, and actuated the lights as you walked in from a darkened room. Way, way bright. Blinded so badly, couldn’t see your way back to bed. Food at restaurant was sub par.

Unexpected great find!

A very pleasant surprise! We had a lovely view over the river. The hotel is quite new and everything was in tip top condition. Staff very attentive. Independence is a gorgeous little town with good restaurants. Overall a great hotel!
