Family-friendly cottage in nature, near Lake Esparron and the Verdon Gorges

A peaceful stay in the heart of Provence

Welcome to Gîte Galoup, an independent 45 m² holiday cottage located on the ground floor of our traditional Provençal farmhouse, in a small hamlet surrounded by Mediterranean scrubland, pine trees and oak trees.

Here, you can enjoy a peaceful and family-friendly setting, ideally located for exploring Lake Esparron, the Lower Verdon Gorges and the Verdon Regional Natural Park.

A comfortable cottage for the whole family

Galoup comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests. It has a master bedroom with a 160 × 200 cm bed and a children's sleeping area with two 90 × 200 cm bunk beds. A baby cot is available on request, and the bunk-bed ladder can be removed for added safety.

The living area opens onto a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher, air-fryer oven, 3-burner gas hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, coffee machine, kettle and toaster. You will also find a sofa bed, TV, Wi-Fi and washing machine.

The cottage also has a private terrace and a private parking space.

The farmhouse's walls are around 1 metre thick, helping to naturally keep the cottage pleasantly cool during the summer. In winter, central heating is included in the price.

And to make your holiday start as soon as you arrive: the beds are made for you!

Enjoy the outdoor spaces

Children can enjoy a play area suitable for children up to 12 years old, while the whole family can enjoy a game of pétanque or make the most of the large green spaces for outdoor play and relaxation.

These outdoor areas are shared with our family and guests staying in our second cottage, while your accommodation remains private.

Nature right from the doorstep

Nature and hiking enthusiasts will love the location: trails start directly from the cottage, including routes towards Lake Esparron and the Lower Verdon Gorges.

The lake can be reached on foot or by 4x4. On foot, the route is approximately 3 km with 160 metres of elevation gain. It is a beautiful but fairly challenging walk, so good walking shoes are recommended. The surrounding area is also ideal for mountain biking.

Around 3.5 km away by car, you will find the village with its local shops and services, including a bakery, butcher, mini-market, pharmacy, café, snack bar and pizzeria.

A region full of things to discover

From the cottage, you can easily explore the Verdon area and its many attractions, including Lake Sainte-Croix, Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, Gréoux-les-Bains and its thermal spa, Quinson and its Museum of Prehistory, and the lavender fields of the Valensole Plateau.

A wide range of activities are available nearby, including canoeing, electric boat trips, pedal boats, swimming, tree-top adventure courses, horse riding, hiking and mountain biking.
