Puy de Dôme - Beautiful Country House Near Billom and Cournon d'Auvergne

This brand new gîte classified ***, (opened in 2019) was created on the 1st floor of a former farm building. It is located in the locality of "Serpes" in the commune of St Julien de (Coppel (1200 inhabitants) in the Puy de Dôme (Parc du Livradois Forez), 4 km from the medieval village of Billom (4500 h) and 20 km from Cournon d'Auvergne and Issoire.
Designed for 4 (adults) or 5 people, it consists of:
- a living room/kitchen of 17 m2 fully equipped with dishwasher, traditional oven, microwave, induction hob, fridge-freezer, television, etc..
- a master bedroom with 140 cm bedding, 1 shower room and WC and direct access to the terrace,
- a bedroom with 1 bed of 140 cm and above in bunk 1 bed of 90 for child/teenager, with also 1 bathroom / toilet / washing machine.
- a covered terrace of 12 m² facing south with garden furniture. Heating is provided by central heating radiators operating with a pellet boiler. Internet with WIFI (free) - Pets are not allowed.
This cottage is ideal for a quiet holiday (large inner courtyard), no noise (no cars), many possibilities for walks from the village to discover panoramic views of the Livradois Forez, the Limagne plain and the Puys chain and its volcanoes classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
You will be welcomed by Monique and Daniel who will be able to give you a lot of information on the local and regional heritage, with maps and documentation on the Auvergne available. We are located in the centre of the Puy de Dôme at:
- 5 minutes from Billom (large weekly market on Monday mornings - all shops, supermarkets, swimming pool
- 10 minutes from the castles of Montmorin, Busséol, La Chaux Montgros, 1 km from the ruins of the castle of Coppel
- 20 minutes from Cournon where the Zenith and the Grande Halle are located (many fairs including the Crown, Vinidome, etc...)
- 30 minutes from Clermont Ferrand (its Place de Jaude, its cathedral, its Michelin Adventure Museum), Thiers (city of cutlery), Issoire (Abbey of Saint Austremoine).
- 1 hour from Ambert in the Forez (paper museum; of the fourme; agrivap; its very large Thursday market, garden of the earth; etc...)
- 1 hour from the Ardes sur Couze animal park and the Amethyst stone mine of Vernet la Varenne
- 1 hour from the Auvergne Volcanoes Park (UNESCO World Heritage Site) with Vulcania, the Lemptégy volcano, the Puy de Dôme and its panoramic train, the Sancy massif, its lakes and resorts (La Bourboule, Mont Dore, Besse, St Nectaire etc ...)
- 1 hour 15 minutes from Vichy and 1 hour 30 minutes from La Chaise Dieu and Le Puy en Velay
- 2 hours from the LE PAL amusement park in Dompierre sur Besbre (03)
Rates for 2023 from €320 to €420 (+ tourist tax: €1.30/ adult in 2023). Deposit: €200

PLEASE NOTE in July and August this cottage can only be rented by the week and from WEDNESDAY to WEDNESDAY.

This cottage is located in the courtyard of a first cottage (gîte les lilas d'Auvergne, visible on the AMIVAC holiday site) with 2 formulas (2 or 3 bedrooms).
Special conditions for companies, for exhibitors at the Grande Halle in Cournon, for the livestock summit and for all trade fairs.
