Situated mid way between Issoire and Ambert 1075mtr above sea level in the National Forest.
Situated in the centre of the village of St Germain l'Herm, the spacious property has a beautiful private garden and can accomodate up to 10 people. There are
4 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms one of which is en suite. The very comfortable lounge has French or English TV, DVD player and Hi Fi.
There is a modern well equipped dining kitchen.
The private garden with Gas BBQ and secure garage parking. Limited wifi is available. 20 gb of wifi included per week. Extra available at charge 25€ per 20gb.
The owner will be resident in an adjacent property and is happy to provide laundry facilities if required.
Les Sylphides is ideally situated as a touring base with the towns of Ambert, Brioude and Issoire each being within 30km whilst Clermont Ferrand and Puy en Velay are 60km away.
St Germain is ideal for walkers and cyclists and there are 3 superb swimming lakes within 15km two of which have Zip Wires and other sports facilities.
Transport is necessary due to the lack of public transport in the rural area.
St Germain is well supplied with shops and bars.
July and August are becoming well known for the Music and Cultural activity of the community.

Accueil très chaleureux

Nous avons reçu un accueil particulièrement chaleureux de la part de Jim. Notre dîner (et même plus !) nous attendait dans le frigo. Sinon, la maison - très bien située au coeur de Saint Germain l'Herm et face à une épicerie au top - est restée dans son "jus" d'il y a quelques dizaines d'années... Le petit jardin est très sympa ! En résumé, si vous aimez l'authenticité, vous êtes au bon endroit !
