First of all, the hostess was lovely! Super friendly and helpful, very welcoming! Beds were super comfy as were the pillows! I always bring my own pillow when I stay anywhere but I didn’t have to use it this time. Great location, was able to walk to get food and go shopping. Parking was a bit of a hassle as the dedicated parking lot fills up when town is busy so people staying have trouble finding a park in the evenings. Unfortunately there was a fire in one of the other rooms during our stay, this was managed well, but it resulted in a strong smell of burning plastic which made our last nights stay a bit unpleasant and our chests and throats still irritated.

I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, very central to everything in Rotorua (restaurants, nationwide bus stop, etc). The furnishings are a bit dated which gives the interior a slightly tired feel but the facilities are clean and well cared for. The internet speed impressed me and I was able to work remotely, including uploading/downloading large files.
