I found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location, very central to everything in Rotorua (restaurants, nationwide bus stop, etc). The furnishings are a bit dated which gives the interior a slightly tired feel but the facilities are clean and well cared for. The internet speed impressed me and I was able to work remotely, including uploading/downloading large files.

Over priced for the condition of the hotel. This was an interesting experience of local people. They were having a snooker tournament when we got there. The building itself was old, run down and dingy, but the room was clean - but spartan with very few amenities- no table, one chair. Check-in staff was friendly and accommodating. She let us check in early. It was a bit spooky, having no one there for the next two nights after they locked up and left. The location was really good, near lots of food and an easy walk to the Rotorua City Hot Springs area.

Staff were fine, business like. More a Hostel feel even if a solo room. Dated feel, very basic. No AC, fans. Comfortable bed, shower worked okay. No individual lamps, just two bare ceiling tubes. Made it feel like a barracks….proper lighting is comforting…this was institutional.

The room was located right on top of the bar area where a band was playing till 11.00pm. So couldn’t really get sleep before my event the next day. The room was hot and no aircon meant a restless sleep. The window was close to the main road and there people out on the street till early morning. The water stopped working at 10.30pm. We had not water to the room. Could be the storm causing issues with pumps. It was resolved by the morning.
