Beautiful property in a beautiful village. Very large beer garden, large bathroom with a bath (instead of a standard shower). They provided a fan to partially compensate for lack of A/C (during a record breaking heatwave), but wouldn't hesitate to stay there again if ever in South Yorkshire. Easy FREE parking.

Very helpful and friendly staff. Very comfortable stay; we were there for one night as we were passing through and only visiting the below mentioned places. The location great for Wentworth Woodhouse stately home and Wentworth Garden Centre (both 3/5 mins away in the car). Pretty part of the country.

Very helpful member of staff at check in. The rooms are over the road from the pub, so they are quiet. I didn’t have the breakfast but the outdoor area where you could have it looked lovely.

Lovely old pub. Staff were really nice. Only thing that went wrong was we were given a key to a room that was already occupied. We had to go back and get another room. It just un nerved us a bit as to how secure was your belongings if the staff didn’t check the room was empty first, having said this I would stay again.

At check in staff member was kind enough to let us check in early. Room was nice and had everything we needed, smelled very fusty and damp though. Before booking, we checked food service times as we knew we would need to eat quite late, this was shown as 9pm on their website and hotel.com. we tried to order at half past 8 and were told kitchen was closed. There is nothing else around so we had to get a taxi to and from the nearest tescos for a meal deal
