Dik in orde

Bij aankomst ter plaatse wisten we eerst niet waar we naartoe moesten, er staat niets van het hotel aangegeven. Er is gewoon een grote bruine poort en op één van de bellen staat de naam van het hotel. Eens gevonden werden we onmiddellijk zeer vriendelijk onthaald en kregen we alle nodige uitleg. We kregen ook een kaart van de stad en de eigenaar duidde aan op welke manier je op de interessante plaatsen kon geraken, zeer fijn en alles is op wandelafstand (je moet wel een goede conditie hebben want het gaat over verschillende kilometers) De kamer was zeer mooi, ruim genoeg, alles is perfect proper. Wat wel zeer vervelend was is een soort van waterpompsysteem dat op de badkamer staat en een vreselijk pompend geluid maakt vanaf het moment dat je een drup water verbruikt hebt… naar toilet gaan en dan onmiddellijk douchen ging dan ook niet, want zolang de pomp bezig was kreeg je alleen maar heet water 😬 Het hotel ligt op een vrij drukke weg en er is constant, dag en nacht, lawaai op de straat. Als je goed wil slapen voorzie je best oordoppen want met het enkel glas in de ramen is het precies of je met de ramen open zit… Het ontbijt was simpel, maar lekker. Omdat het een klein hotel is met 5 kamers was er qua hoeveelheid eten wel niet veel en durfde je amper iets te nemen uit vrees dat de mensen na je dan niets meer zouden hebben. Kleine eters zullen het zeker genoeg vinden echter. Al bij al hebben wij zeker geen spijt van onze keuze en was het dik in orde

Top!

Heerlijke plek midden in het centrum van Rome. Alle bezienswaardigheden makkelijk te bereiken, zowel lopend als met de metro die er dicht bij zit. De straat waar het in zit is al bruisend in de avond met veel hippe restaurantjes en wijnbarretjes. Ook voor leuke vintage winkeltjes kan je hier terecht. De kamer was schoon en netjes. De gastvrouw was zeer attent. Veel tips en routes gekregen waardoor wij Rome goed hebben kunnen ontdekken. Indien je zelf last hebt van vele geluiden tijdens het slapen is dit misschien niet de aangewezen plaats. Het ontbijt was op z'n Italiaans, niet heel veel keus maar wel lekker. Kortom, niet twijfelen dit kan je met een gerust hart boeken.
