Hotel was very clean. First night was an abbaration as someone did not clean the floor. They fixed it in the morning and hereafter everything was great. Staff was amazing, less than 20 minute walk to Termini, and some nice local spots. Very authentic regular working people neighborhood. Would stay again

San Lorenzo Maria was by far one of the best stays I’ve ever had in another country. The staff were always so sweet and polite and had the best knowledge to my 1 million questions. The location was spotless, housekeeping did such a great job of keeping that place immaculate. It’s 15 minutes away from the Colosseum and it was worth booking over places closer because of the ambiance they offer. I usually solo travel and I felt completely safe in the way they run their establishment and familiarize themselves with each and every guest. 10/10 would come back here if I ever find myself in Italy again and will be tell others to book here. AMAZING place.

The property itself was clean and cute, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, just hidden in not a great area. Felt a little unsafe walking there from the train station.

Our little oasis

Our stay at the hotel was truly wonderful such a wonderful little oasis. The staff were so helpful and couldnt do enough to make you feel like a special guest,nothing was too much trouble even opening the bar for us when it had closed. I really cannot put into words how much we enjoyed our 8 night stay. We will really miss them. Oh and the breakdasts are really good value for money too.

This is a classic hotel with marble floor and antique feel. I would stay again, except it is a 20 minute walk from Roma Termini over rough sidewalk. Also, the area is not the cleanest in Roma. However, just walk in the direction of restaurant street and the surrounding becomes better. It is close to an old Roman wall.

Property was great. Area did not feel safe. Okay during the day, unable to clarify after hours. Transport not near. Walking to the train station 15mins via different streets. Once I got my bearings I was okay. Not suitable if you want to catch train or shuttle bus to the are port if you have luggage pathways poor, not good for bag wheels.

The staff were very nice, and the hotel felt cozy overall. My room was clean, and the bathroom looked recently renovated, which was great. However, the area around the property was quite dirty, and the Smart TV in my room wasn't connected to WiFi, so it didn’t work during my stay. Other than that, everything else was good.

Lovely stay. I ordered a taxi to FCO airport which is supposed to be a fixed price. But the taxi added 10% extra for payment by card. so €66 in total. The hotel should kindly inform guests about this in advance.

Is Rome, great staff and people. Everything is walkable distance 30 minutes from Coliseum 42 from fautian. Tram is right around the corner. The neighborhood is a testament to the kindness of people of Italy. Enjoy!!
