Great little boutique hotek but not city centre.

The hotel needs a little updating but the staff we're very friendly and helpful and couldn't complain about the cleanliness of the room. It was a bit far out of central Rome for my liking as we had to get a bus or a taxi. But if you want to stay somewhere very green just a bit out of Rome then I'd definitely recommend this hotel. The little garden at the front where we enjoyed a few evening drinks was also very nice.

everything was as advertised

Quiet hotel even if it is on a busy road; excellent service from all staff; 20 mins walk to termini station area; nice area but residential so no restaurant nearby; great wifi connection; breakfast may have been a bit limited in choice but it was nice and you get fresh coffee.

Comfy hotel set back from main road into Rome.

Staff couldn't do enough for us. Warm and friendly atmosphere, comfy room, large breakfast, excellent wine served on the intimate terrace outside. We loved the hotel. Set back from the main road so not too much noise. Short bus ride into the city. Want to go back!

Practical hotel, good area, corteous staff

this hotel is in the Nomentana street area, about 7 minutes walk from the Bologna Metro and about 15 minutes from the Annibaliano Metro stations. therefore relatively easily reached. the staff are fantastic, hotel is clean, breakfast is sufficient and good. prices are definitely the lowest for this good neighbourhood. I had a nomentana road-facing small single room, and there was slight road traffic noise at night (did not bother me). then again Rome is not the quietest city, even at night!! otherwise I would recommend this hotel anytime and would have no problem to stay in it again in the future.

Old fashioned needs some TLC in the suburbs

Old fashioned hotel with worn out carpets and need of some refurbishment. The so-called deluxe superior rooms on the top-attic floor were bearable although the rafters were a mixture of white painted wooden beams and pipes. On arrival there was no-one in reception; it took 15 minutes to hunt someone down! The staff were very helpful although some did not speak English. The breakfast was okay. The garden setting with tables and chairs were very nice for both breakfast and for drinks from the bar in the evening although there were mosqiutos! The metro is 10-15 minutes walk. There are direct buses from outside the hotel to central Rome.

fair location 3 star hotel

fair location but doesn't have a pool, we went in July so was very hot, and a pool would have been a bonus. good location on the outskirts of Rome, bus stop across the road, so easy access into Rome. No meals provided other than continental breakfast, which was always the same limited choice each day. have a bar menu mainly sandwiches but when we asked one evening, because there was only one staff member on duty was not able to provide something to eat other than crisps and nuts. The staff were very friendly and helpful. and gave excellent advice. But I would not go back again because of the pool situation, and the room was small for 3 people.

Great service from staff

Enjoyed our stay, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They provided maps, recommended best bus/metro routes to sites, and you can purchase bus tickets at front desk. The bus stop is across the street. The breakfast was also nice with great coffee! I was concerned about the reviews I read indicating that internet service was not free since I was traveling with my 17 year old son. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was no extra charge. The hotel has a nice patio area where you can sit and unwind after long day of site seeing.

Quiet location with Superb Staff

This is great little boutique hotel where the staff is anxious to attend to guests individual needs. It is also extremely reasonable. We will stay there the next time we visit Rome. It is the kind of place that one may consider home away from home.

Great value for money - would recommend

My wife and I spent a 7 nights at this hotel as part of our honeymoon. We paid for a superior room which had a decent sized en-suite bathroom and enough space for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, there was a wide selection of sweet pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurts for breakfast. Toast is available free of charge and the coffee is great. The patio garden is ideal for relaxing in after a hard day's sightseeing and a bottle of wine is reasonably priced at 15 Euro. Items from the minibar are also reasonably priced although we made little use of this. We used the metro for transport (10 minute walk). There isn't a great deal nearby as far as restaurants go as the hotel is in a suburban area. The nearby Eleanora D'Arborea (Sardinian fish restaurant) is superb. Overall this hotel is excellent value for money, in a nice area, well presented and the staff are pleasant and helpful.

quiet location. Easy access to city.

I thought the breakfast was outstanding. Street noise was a little much if you are in a front room. The help at the desk was friendly and very helpful when we left our credit card at the restaurant and needed their help calling about it. All done with a smile.

Cozy small hotel for budget travelers

Very good location, bus across the street takes you everywhere. Minimal room size, even paying extra. Clean, correct bathroom and room. Correct service, corteous. Nice building in a nice neighbourhood, which seemed safe. A good hotel if you are on a budget and if you don´t plan to stay in your room for long.

Not close enough to sights

Has a certain old fashioned charm. However it was a good 15-20 minute walk away from the nearest metro and after a long day walking around Rome, another 20 minute walk was the last thing needed. Very little by way of restaurants or places to eat nearby, so a trip closer to town was a must if you wanted to eat.

good value

Very good value. Very good breakfast service. Staff freindly more or less. Weird wi-fi policy. They give you a code for 5 hours and it counts even if you are just connected. Painful. You have to go and ask another code, or logoff everytime you are not using to conserve time. In this day and age? Not too many places to eat nearby but I had work nearby Nomentano and it is the best deal.

Great value and location.

The hotel is very welcoming, the staff always aim to please even if you only know a few italian words! Breakfast is lovely and charges for additional items are reasonable. The location is great, on the main road into Rome which is either a 30 min walk to the Trevi or 5 - 10 min right on the bus to the centre. The only thing that let down this hotel was the shower curtain that looked like it had been there as long as the Forum with orange staining half way up! real shame otherwise top marks!

lovely old traditional villa

Our stay in this hotel was great. We loved the fact it was old and cosy, much better then modern, sterile hotels with no character. It's an old villa full of charm with lots of original features and lovely high ceilings. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. It was small and had a lovely atmosphere. Very peaceful, even though on main road, it is set back far enough so you don't hear the traffic. Had lovely breakfast's on the terrace. The air conditioning was great in the room as we visited in August and it was very hot. Only 10 minute stroll to the nearest Metro station. Really easy to get into the centre of Rome. Would without doubt use again if back in Rome.

great hotel

We were traveling with our adult daughter - she said her single bed was the most comfortable of any in Italy. Our triple room had lots of space and both the room and the outdoor courtyard space were gracious and serene after a busy day of sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was terrific - many pastries, tortes and cakes, yogurt, fresh fruit, meat and cheese, cereal, water and juices and tea, and of course individual pots of coffee of your choice. The hotel staff spoke English fluently, which was a tremendous help to us. The front desk staff alerted us to a bus and metro strike the day we had tickets to the museum - and she called a taxi for us to help us arrive in time. The location is convenient to a bus stop which takes you to Piazza Venezia - walking distance to the Forum, Colleseum, Pantheon, and many fountains. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Welcoming and friendly hotel

Faded charm has been used in other reviews for this hotel and I would agree. We stayed in the cheapest option and I think the more expensive options may have been more modern and luxurious. However, we loved our room and found it very comfortable- the furniture may have been a little old but this added to the charm and did not detract from our enjoyment of our holiday. The bed was comfortable and made beautifully every day- the bathroom was clean and new towels provided each day. We thought the breakfast buffet was excellent providing a whole range of foods- cereals, fruit, milk, juice, bread, cheese, ham, cake and pastries- hot drinks were freely available and served with a smile. The buffet staff were helpful and friendly. This friendliness went for the reception staff too who advised on what to do and where to go- nothing was too much trouble, Trams and buses went from outside the hotel to the city centre but we mainly used the Bologna Metro station which was a 10 minutes walk away; the hotel was also conveniently placed for Tiburtini railway station from which trains went directly to Fiumicino Airport- this was about a 25 minute walk away. We intend to return to Rome in the future and would definitely stay at the Hotel Villa del Parco again.

Hotel Villa del Parco

This hotel is on the main road but about a mile out from the city. The neigbourhood is quiet. It's about 5 mins walk to the Bologna metro station which we used a lot as we walked around the city it's self.. The metro was cheap and an ideal way to travel. The area around the Bologna metro has good restraunts so we didn't have to go back into the city to eat at dinner time if we were tired. The hotel staff were very pleasant and the hotel was exceptionally clean. A great place to relax after sight seeing.
