This is a great property for young train travellers. It is literally across the road from Rome’s central station. However, it was not clear to me from Expedia’s booking site that there are 47 steps up to the second floor and no elevator, The staff arranged someone to carry my 18 kilo suitcase, but it cost a 5 euro tip on the way up and on the way down. Also, this is a guest house with no food available. There are basic kitchen facilities for the use of guests.

Great base to explore Rome. Right next to the station. Staff were really helpful with advice and kept our luggage on arrival in the morning.

Terrible check in

The Problem was when I check in , no one was at front desk. As an international traveler, I don’t have a phone to contact the hotel. The hotel front door was locked. The check in time I have informed the hotel manager a head of time. However, I have to ask a street stranger’s help to call the manager to open the door and get access to my room.

Misleading Expedia ratings, shouldn’t been offered as a “hotel” for foreigners, especially Americans. No body answers after hours, not suitable for woman, bad cheesy neighborhood, no clear sign of hotel or residence.. TAKE IT OFF THE EXPEDIA PLATFORM!!!

Great Find

Great find. Location was excellent. Close to the train station. Special touches such as treats left in the fridge, slippers and umbrella where well welcomed. A small shared kitched was great along with a coffee machine. Would definitely recommend 47 steps. There is no lift which may be difficult if you have heavy luggage to carry .
