no large pots available.Was not very clean.Enjoyed pool and hot tub.Missing entire cupboard door in kitchen, bar stool seat was off and on the floor, shampoo in bathroom was empty, hose was left out, elevator did not initially work, sliding door didn't open, cable in game room did not work. I understand little things can go wrong, but it's hard when you walk in and it's not clean and then those little things add up to a lot. The view and access to the beach was amazing though.

Wonderful house steps to the beach. Beautifully decorated spacious house convenient to several restaurants and grocery stores. Many balconies in house with spectacular ocean views. Elevator made moving in and out so easy. Pool and hot tub clean. Game room with mini frig and pool table with easy access to pool and a balcony with beautiful ocean views. Easy walk to fishing pier.

Unfortunately our stay was interrupted by hurricane Erin. We only got to spend 2 nights and had a mandatory evacuation by 10 a.m. Monday morning. It was very disappointing and as of now we have not been compensated for our 5 days lost. The house has a spectacular location and view of the ocean. It definitely is in need of some maintenance but the location made up for that. The pool and hot tub were very nice.If you stay here make sure you bring everything you need to cook because there were no staples. They need to buy a big pot to cook spaghetti sauce and a pot to cook your pasta. It was hard to cook with what was provided.I wouldn’t recommend staying here during hurricane season as highway 12 floods which we didn’t know!

House location, rooms, bathrooms, common areas, kitchen, and dining were perfect for the 10 of us. The peer is right next to us and we LOVED fishing. My mom is handicapped and the elevator was amazing. The pool was pristine and the railing was also perfect for my mom. If the owners did a refresh of the dining supplies (silverware, coffee mugs, etc), got better quality mattresses, upgraded the TVs, and replaced the broken outdoor furniture it would be five stars.

Peaceful, Kid-Friendly, and Full of Memorable Moments

We had a truly wonderful stay at this home! It was the perfect getaway for our family with young children. The house was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed. The gated-in pool area provided so much peace of mind—perfect for keeping the kids safely corralled and easily watched while they played. We also loved the outdoor shower and dining area, which made cleanup a breeze and gave us a great space for relaxed outdoor meals.While the home does have lots of stairs, the incredible views from the upper levels made every step worth it. The elevator was a huge bonus—especially for moving luggage or helping tired kids up to bed after a long beach day. Speaking of the beach, the easy access made shell-hunting and surf play a daily highlight for the kids, while we soaked in the beauty and calm from the shoreline.The kitchen and dining area were beautifully furnished and spacious, giving us a cozy yet elegant space for family meals and gathering together. Sunrises on the balcony were unforgettable, and every detail of the home contributed to a stay full of sweet memories. We would absolutely love to return!

Beautiful location, quiet off-season getaway

We were 10: my husband, our 4 young adult children and their friend or fiancé. The house is roomy and comfortable. It was perfectly designed for our group. We came before Spring break: a bit chilly but super quiet and wild. The house basically lays on the beach. With a wetsuit, we enjoyed surfing: awesome waves. We even encountered dauphins by the shore. Only take back: few cutlery and little soap, Scott towels and other disposable like garbage bags. Otherwise 10/10! We wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

Wrong Address Right Property

We had a difficult time finding the property as the address given is a street that either doesn't exist or is now under sand. There were no blankets for the beds. The elevator was a big plus to get to the top floor. It is a lovely home and a great view. Very clean and very comfortable beds. I would come back again. Now a few things that could use attention. The light is out over stove, one light bulb is out in the kitchen and one in the family room. The lamp in the family room is broken. We could have used more than two kitchen towels and some hot pads or trivets please. There was not enough dishwasher soap to do the final wash. The bathroom fan on the top floor had a loud barring when arrived and then quit.

Rodanthe Vaca at Madjoy

Lovely home with amazing view. Beach right out the back door. Clean. WiFi and cable spotty, but that was same for the entire area and couldn’t be helped. Traveled with 4 adults and 3 kids. Ages 10-17. Very comfortable and pleasant stay. Would recommend home. Vacasa automated check in and out extremely convenient,

GREAT HOUSE TERRIBLE PARKING SITUATION

PROPERTY WAS GREAT. DRIVEWAY WAS TERIBLE. HAD FOUR CARS BUT ONLY TWO COULD GET THRU THE DEEP SAND IN DRIVEWAY. WOULD NOT RENT AGAIN UNLESS THIS WAS CORRECTED.

Overall our trip was great! We enjoyed the location of the house! We enjoyed being right on the beach and being able to walk right on the beach! The house needs lots of maintenance! All maintenance issues have been reported and hopefully will be repaired soon!

Not kept up. Cabinets, counter tops falling apart. Air vents are dusty, rusty, moldy. Shower curtains mold, ceiling fans dusty. Carpet is gross. Sliding glass doors need replaced. Mattress are awful! Electrical outlet burnt. Downstairs carport needs cleaned up, weeds pulled around pool area. Pictures look like a well kept property, but it’s been run down, and for the price did not meet expectations.

Disappointing Stay

PROS: *Oceanfront property with fantastic water views and easy beach access *Decks or balconies off of every room in the house *Great area and location near Rodanthe pier CONS: *Elevator not in service (notified in advance) *Couches and chairs filthy and stained *Carpet and rugs in desperate need of cleaning *Many mattresses need to be replaced *Most kitchen dishes, utensils, and cookware were dirty and had to be rewashed before use *Scum floating around water in hot tub (corrected during stay) *Basic cable package with very limited channels available *Several areas in the house are in poor condition and need attention (paint chipping on kitchen cabinets, counter tops falling apart, rusted microwave, broken rails on balcony, etc.) While this property has the potential to be amazing, the lack of upkeep and cleanliness will unfortunately keep us from vacationing here again in the future.
