Not through any fault of the hotel team at the desk, members of housekeeping had called out and so my room wasn’t ready until after 4. Bedsheets were stained and there was a bug in the bed (not a bedbug). Shower/tub was really dirty that I had to wear my swim shoes. I still love the inn regardless

Good location

Inn is in a good location. Short (10-15 min) walk to the beach and downtown shops on a sidewalk. Easy to do even with young children. The pool was warm and large.

The first room offered was not in the main part of the hotel , it had stained dirty rugs, smelled stale and had cobwebs on the walls. After complaining, a newer room was provided that was very good

Excellent location and short walk to shops and dining. Staff is accommodating and helpful. Room was vlesn and spacious, and beds were comfortable. I’ve stayed here several times and would recommend it.

Great accommodations with comfy room and spacious bath/dressing area. Parking outside your door but without that "motel" feel. Nice indoor pool and outdoor fire pit areas, decent breakfast offerings and friendly staff. Only minor negative was lack of housekeeping service over the 4 days/3 nights we were there. Will return!

Surprisingly mediocre for the price

Feels like you should get a lot more when paying $300 per night. Rooms are dated and not very well maintained. No daily cleaning. Internet doesn't reach many of the rooms. Felt like a $100 value, not 3x that. I guess when there are so few options on the island, the limited supply prices out high. That seems to be the case with the Inn and Suites.

Parking was not good for me and my husband. It was up a hill and beyond our room. That was inconvenient for us since we are both 81. The staff was not very friendly, quite cool. My daughter-in-law had to put another $100 down which she was told would be returned to her card with two business days. We were there the 17-20 and she has not received the money as yet. She tried to call and they said they could not help because they needed an Itinerary #. I paid you for the hotel and I got rid of all that paperwork when I got home from our trip. Can you help with the booking # for Gail Kargoe from the 17th and 19th,, leaving the 20th. I appreciate your help. I don't understand why the hotel isn't able to help with the $100 refund since that didn't go through you. I will never stay there again.

Tub floor very slippery, could care less.

We checked out on Saturday, August 23rd at approximately 8:40 AM (Room 119) and the Clerk (white female, approximately in her 30’s) at the front desk was very unpleasant. No smile and acted like a bug just flew up her ass. At this time I told her that the shower/tub floor in the bathroom was very slippery and dangerous, that someone could fall and hurt themselves. Literally no reaction from her upon saying this and obviously could care less. This was very very disappointing as someone could literally kill or seriously hurt themselves if they fell in the tub.

Not very close to town 20+ minute walk. The hotel itself is very pretty. Most of the staff was great. The young lady who checked us in was more interested in her phone than assisting us. First time for us so we asked questions and she just shrugged her shoulders. All the rest of the staff was great.

The Rockport Inn does not have the most state of the art facilities and equipment, but they do everything they can to make our stay comfortable while staying out of our way. They seem to be good people, from the managers to the maintenance and cleaning people. I like this place. Some things did not work out in the room we were assigned at the beginning of our stay, and they gave us a new room that worked out better. They never blinked or questioned the change. They made it all work.

Photos from Hotel.com show ocean views and state they are “views from property” when the property is actually far from the water with no views of the ocean. The toilet in our room rocked back and forth on its base and the doors on the armoire in our room did not close all the way. Just an overall neglected room and not worth the money

I hadn’t stayed here in nearly 40 years, and coming back was a truly nostalgic experience. The hotel still holds that welcoming feel I remembered from decades ago. The indoor pool was a highlight — clean, well-maintained, and a relaxing spot after a day out exploring. My only real complaint is that the in-room mini fridge didn’t have a freezer section. It’s a small thing, but would’ve been convenient. Still, being back in the Gloucester/Rockport area made the whole trip special. There’s something timeless about the rocky coastlines and the peaceful atmosphere here. If you're looking for a cozy stay , this place is a great choice.
