It was very noisy, i could hear the people in the rooms next to us which made us feel like we had no privacy. The bed and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable, we could barely sleep. But it was relatively clean and the staff/woman at the counter was very nice. Check in and check out was very smooth, quick and easy. Overall the stay was subpar at best.

I loved this place. All the little extras got my attention. Very clean. A little surprise of a little duck sitting in bathroom. Loved the seasonal creamers available for coffee. Breakfast was hot and there was a variety. Staff were great.

Wonder why it was not listed on the website that the hotel was under construction and remodeling? This would have made our decision to stay somewhere else. I know the hotel did their best to accommodate.

The key cards for doors would stop working constantly. The staff said they were going to be getting new ones. Bugs in the rooms and staff said they were beetles and nothing they could do about it. Rooms were run down, carpet stained, tub/shower stain. It was one of the worst experiences I had at a hotel.

Our stay at Baymont Inn & Suites Freeport, IL on September 20, 2025, was a complete disaster. Our reserved suite had no running water, and the replacement room was in poor, unsanitary condition. The General Manager, Candice, was consistently unprofessional and dishonest. Refunds promised were partially issued and then disappeared, and repeated requests for her supervisor’s contact were ignored. She repeatedly shifted blame to third-party booking platforms and renovations instead of taking responsibility. This experience was stressful, costly, and completely mishandled. I cannot recommend this property under this management, and I hope corporate takes immediate action to prevent future guests from enduring the same treatment.

It was a very convenient location for our day trips. I didnt give 5 stars as we didnt have key cards as card maker wasn't working and there was construction on the building.

One of the most disgusting days ever

It was advertised as having a pool and hot tub. When we arrive at full of under maintenance and there was no hot tub to be found. The redolent smell of marijuana permeated through the elevator and hallway. Inside the room, there were suspicious stains all over the floor. Some more big and some more small, but all of them were absolutely disgusting. Short dark hair was found on the bed. My husband is old and I have long red hair. You can figure that out Sherlock. Then in the morning the smell of marijuana was so strong we could smell it in our room and we were not the one smoking it. We both said we would’ve been better off sleeping in our Jeep. Wyndham should be ashamed to have their name on this particular hotel.

The dirtiest hallway carpets I have ever seen in a hotel. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good but heavy on carbs.
