Rock Hill Retreat: Hot Tub Beneath the Rocks, Arcade & Game Rooms on 11 Acres

Wake up to a wall of natural stone right outside your window. Rock Hill Retreat is a beautifully renovated 5-bedroom, 3-bath home that backs into a massive rock hill on 11 private acres, with no other homes in sight. It's like staying right in the Hocking Hills caves.

Unwind in the 7-person hot tub that sits just beneath the rock formations, then head to the fire pit for s'mores under the trees. The back deck has string lights and rock-shaped Bluetooth speakers. Indoors there's something for every age: an arcade, a dedicated kids' game room, and a separate family game room with a pool table, plus an electric fireplace in the living room. The bunk room, the "campground" of the house, has 2 twin-over-full and 2 twin-over-twin bunks kids love.

Every bedroom has handcrafted Amish furniture and a smart TV. The master suite has a king bed, private sitting area, and en-suite bath with jetted tub. There are queens on the main floor and upstairs plus a full on the main floor, sleeping 18 in all. The fully equipped kitchen and dining table that seats 14 make big family meals easy.

Location: under 3 miles to Cantwell Cliffs, 7 miles to Rock House, 12 miles to Old Man's Cave, and minutes from Hocking Hills State Park, Lake Logan, and the area's trails and attractions.

Self check-in with a keypad. Smart TVs and DirecTV are included. Our prices include all fees, with no hidden fees.

Good to know: Internet here is satellite, the only service available this far into the hills. It works for browsing and streaming but is slower than you're used to, so plan accordingly if you need to work remotely. For the easiest drive, take the County Road 33/Miller Road exit off Rt. 33; GPS may suggest other routes, but those roads are narrow and winding. The first stretch of the driveway is shared, so please don't park there; extra cars can use the grassy area left of the driveway at our entrance.

Check-in after 4 PM, checkout by 11 AM. No pets, no smoking, no parties or events.
Make yourself comfortable in this air-conditioned vacation home, featuring a kitchen with a refrigerator and an oven. There's a private patio. Complimentary wireless internet access keeps you connected, and a Smart television is provided for your entertainment. The bathroom with a shower/tub combination features a jetted bathtub and a hair dryer.

The Rock Hill Retreat was a wonderful property. The space was clean and had lots of room for many guests. The property was accurate to the listing, although the fire pit was kind of far from the actual house. Lots of rooms and beds for adults. There were many beds for kids or teens as well in the basement. The deck had a nice view for morning coffee or afternoon meditation. The only downside was that the hot tub was very hot. Otherwise it was a great stay and lots of activities to keep you busy and having fun!

Cabrew Weekend 2022

This was our couple's group 9th year coming to Hocking to cabrew. We stayed at Rock Hill Retreat and had an amazing time. It is by far the best property we have stayed in. There was more than enough room, a beautiful setting (deck and hot tub included), and a wonderful firepit area we enjoyed on Friday night. Would absolultely stay here again!

Rock Hill Retreat

It was a nice place. Rooms were clean and check in and check out were very easy. They listed slow internet but there was actually no internet and no cell service which makes it very difficult if you need to check into work. If they had internet I would stay there again.

Rock Hill Retreat

The property was very nice and roomy. The game room was fun and was used by the whole family. The internet was a bit slow but the property manager told us that it was satellite internet and not to expect high speeds. Overall, our stay was great.

Birthday/Holiday weekend

4 families stayed at the house. Everyone had a bed and the kids ages 11-14 had games and space to play. The house was clean and had all the kitchen things we needed to make our own meals. We had a great weekend.

We loved the game room … ping pong was a hit, even my 82 year old mother found her inner ping pong champion! We loved the big mudroom and seeing all our coats and shoes in there … the big pantry was a nice surprise … it made coming for Thanksgiving (and storing the way too much food) a lot easier. I think our favorite part was putting the 2 tables together (we did bring a square folding table to bridge the two) and we sat all 12 of us around that table !! Oh and we used that awesome folding table you had in the hall closet for a buffet table … perfect !! Thank you Aaron :)
