This hotel fails the price/performance ratio test. The ratio overwhelmingly favors Hilton. Hilton should be embarrassed to include this hotel under their brand. Issues: Only 1 of 2 elevators is operating, yet that elevator does not work consistently. There were a couple of minor breakdowns during our stay. Quickly fixed, but it does not instill confidence in the elevator. Bathroom door frame in our room was so out of square that is was not possible to close the bathroom door. Some of the light fixtures in the room had shorts in the wire and the lights flickered like a strobe. We were staying during the Disc Golf championships. Spark is a sponsor hotel for the tourney. The outdoor late night golfer get-togethers were loud enough to be heard from the 5th floor. Hotel staff had to be called at 2am to bring the noise down; noise that staff in the lobby did not hear. Breakfast options are fine for a 1 or 2 day stay (bread & cereal). But I have to say that the Quality Inn in MS that we stayed in offered more robust breakfast options than Spark at less than half the room rate. Parking lot lights include spotlights that shine brightly through the 5th floor windows at night. That was not pleasant. Bottom line: for the rates Hilton charges at this place, better quality experience is expected. Recommend finding someplace else in Rock Hill if you are visiting this area.
