HORRIBLE. Whenever I arrive at a hotel I always first move the beds from the walls to make sure there are no bugs and it is clean. (About 10yrs ago we entered a hotel room and within minutes noticed a bed bug. I hate bugs and my boyfriend makes fun of how much even a spider stresses me out. We were out of there as fast as we arrived. Ever since then I make a point to check every room1st.) So upon checking here, there were a few small hairs on the sheets, fairly normal to find, but I didn't see signs of bugs. We got settled in, got dinner, came back, got in bed. Early surgery in the morning. About 11/11:30 (lights off for about half hour) boyfriend wakes up to something crawling. He grabs it, turns on lights, sure enough my nightmare!! I tell him get off and check under sheets and bed skirt. Sure enough theres another large one. We had his handicap mom in another room. Had to now quickly gather our things, check that no other bugs were on them, and get her and us out before risking a hitch hiker one coming with us. Now we had to scramble to find another hotel so we could sleep a little before being up in 7hrs for a major surgery. The desk clerk had a horrible attitude telling us because we had been in the room now a few hours, we would have to pay for the night. She had zero compassion. Like this was our fault!?! Very disappointed because other Comfort Suites have been wonderful to stay at. NO ONE in management has even reached out. We will choose another brand go forward.

We always stay here when visiting family on Rochester and have never had a problem. Except this time, someone at the front desk decided it would be a good idea to place a family with small active children in the room above us! We had to call down to have someone tell them to stop it but we don't think anything was done and it continued until after 1am.

My husband and I had our 3 grandsons for the weekend and booked the hotel specifically for the swimming pool. When we arrived to check in we were informed that the pool was not in use due to boiler problems. Evidently there was an ongoing problem and the owners decided not to invest any more money into repairs, without disclosing that info on the website. We were beyond upset! We had driven 2 hours to our sons family Christmas, knew that we didn’t want to drive back after the get together and were excited to check in. Dragged all of our suitcases into the lobby to find out that there was no pool access. I’ll never book at a Comfort Inn again! The process to be reimbursed is a jump through several hoops with Expedia. What a fiasco! The only redeeming point was the check in person, who transferred our booking to a Sleep Inn next door, with a functioning pool.

Amenities- the pool was closed which was unfortunate to not be told ahead of time because I would have booked elsewhere since that was going to be our main activity with our daughter in our 2 nights of spare time. We also had family that would have come to pay to swim as well. The staff did not acknowledge the inconvenience, there was only a note posted. At checkout no questions were asked as far as how our stay was.

The room was very comfortable and the lobby made a great little office while we waited for our appts at Mayo Clinic. The staff were all extremely nice and helpful from the gentleman making fresh cookies to Selena at the front desk. We have to come back in February and we will stay here again.
