When I checked in it was early hours of the morning due to travel. The property doors were open, no one was on the desk and the 24hr number wasn’t working. I could see my check in card over the desk so I had to fish it to me to be able to get in my room. I could’ve been anyone. There were plus sockets behind to hanging off the wall in my room and a dirty mug. The hotel staff were not as knowledgeable as they used to be and it all felt robotic. Lost its old charm. I tried to get a drink, which was a painful process because my card wasn’t linked to my room. The price of the drink was ridiculous. I’m from the south and am used to it, but London prices in Rochdale?? City centre I get. I have family nearby so have visited many many times over the years. All looks smart on face of it but behind the scenes it’s totally lost its local out of the city charm. Wasn’t awful and was pretty clean but soulless! Shame. Lift also not great. Main concern the security side!

Rooms were very clean , all staff really smartly dressed and very friendly and helpful. The breakfast we payed for and were very pleased with , it had all that we needed (sausage , bacon, egg , hash brown, beans etc )and juice , coffee and im sure if you looked (which i didn't) there were vegetarian and vegan options also. We visited the spa while there and was very impressed with the amenities and also we had massages ...excellant we thought .

An amazing little gem.

Well what an absolute treat this place was. My son and I travel for his sport and to be honest we tend to just book the cheapest place we can find as we’re hardly there. However, this time he asked for a pool to relax after his race. Norton Grange was only £20 more than the budget hotel I was going to book so I booked it. And I am so glad I did. Not one thing I could complain about. Yes it’s a little tired in places but it’s an older hotel, and to be expected but it’s easily the cleanest hotel I’ve stayed in. The room was absolutely amazing. Spacious and comfortable with everything we could possibly need. The pool was a tad chilly but we stumbled upon the Jacuzzi and WOW!! What an amazing facility. So relaxing and absolutely stunning to be open to the outside. Beautiful. We loved it. I was truly floored by how amazing the facilities are with prices so reasonable. We didn’t eat in the restaurant but could tell that it serves delectable food, it was packed. Staff are so friendly and helpful and when we asked if my son’s race bike could be kept inside for safety they didn’t bat an eyelid. They took it and stored it safely for us. We have since booked 3 more visits and will be our go to hotel when ever we race in Manchester in future. The option to pay for early check-in or even use of the facilities early would be great as what with practice and early starts we were so sad to not have more time to enjoy your beautiful hotel. We will be spreading the word.

Stayed for 6 days.It was ok but be warned it is extremely noisy if there is an event on,and that was most nights whilst we were there.We couldn't find the hair drier as it was missing. looked on top of the wardrobe and found it thick with dust.Probably wouldn't visit again.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Very clean. Room was lovely, comfy bed, again really clean. TV needs upgrading/fixing though. Alot of old channels as if not been retuned for a long time. Spa was amazing. The Jacuzzi with open air element was spot on for the soul.

Lovely relaxing stay

Spa amenities were lovely. Very clean and relaxing. Love the sauna pool that opens outside, was lovely just relaxing with the view and the other sauna and steam rooms were very well presented and clean.

Desperate in need of refurbishment.

Room was worn out. Floorboards creaked so badly we just laughed every time we had to move. Every aspect of the room needs a refurbishment. Couldn’t change the temp on the shower which is set at lukewarm and the pressure from it was like a watering can.
