Very disappointed. The pictures of the property and room on the listing are misleading. Very third-world. The building is crammed into a muddy alley that you must walk through every day to get to your car which will be parked on a very dusty dirt road about 100 yards away. There is continual, very noisy 7am-10pm construction occurring on buildings on all sides. About another year or so of work to complete. Hammering, drilling, circular saws, chainsaws, yelling, music, etc. the entire time we were there. The construction crew were living 24/7 in the open concrete shells of the buildings overnight with their wives and children doing laundry on a rock out in the open. They had given someone else our room by accident so we had to wait while the angry guest argued with the host about being moved to another, smaller room. Their communication and ours had to be done every time through Google translate as the host woman spoke no English. The walk to the beach was more like 10 minutes and was down a dusty dirt road past a smelly, nausea-inducing channel of water which smelled like sewage and then past the rotten garbage dumpsters of the beach restaurant to finally reach the beach. The sink water smells like sulphur. The shower has cold or scalding hot - hard to hit the warm sweet spot. The positives - The AC worked well. The host, though tough to communicate with, was nice. And hey, it is cheaper than the "resorts" right on the beach.
