This could have been a really nice stay except for some major maintenance issues as well as having someone there steal our credit card number. We were first given a room on the 4th floor across from the Exit door at the end of the hall when I explicitly asked for a quiet room so that my dog didn't bark in the middle of the night. In testing the loudness of the exit door as it closed we noticed that it got caught on the wood frame and did not properly close and this could be a major fire hazard. Totally out of compliance I would venture. The front desk tried to find another room and did upgrade us to a junior suite on the 2nd floor but our door had to the room had a similar issue. It catches on the frame and you had to pull really hard to get it shut and it made a loud sound. Then we turn the heating on and a terrible sound came out of the hvac unit. We had to turn it off and maintenance wanted to move us. There was also a lightbulb missing from a lamp on the desk that we wanted to use. We could not be bothered to move again. We also went downstairs to order food and to have delivered to our room and I accidently left my card when I signed for it. The person that delivered our food kindly brought the card up, but 3 days later our bank alerted us as food was being purchased for deliver in Roanaoke Rapids at various retaurants. It had to have been stolen there as we did not eat anywhere else in that town and did not stop for anything else while we were there for one night.

We did not have breakfest there so i did not rate it. But was very disappointed there were types of payment not taken that i was not onformed about prior and the pool area was very cold and my kids could only enjoy it in short time periods becaise of this when it is advertised as indoor heated it is indoor but not heated
