Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy
Was very skeptical bc there are no reviews from VRBO- HOWEVER- this place did not disappoint. It was clean, and exactly as described. We came during summer so were mainly interested in SWIMMING and were worried there wouldn’t be a place to swim or the river out back would be shallow. However, just out of shot of the listing photos there is a perfect widened and deeper area of water that was perfect for swimming. We visited with kids and grandpa, plus our dog, and everyone had a blast. The photos don’t do it justice. As far as amenities, there were plenty of extra bedding, kitchen had everything we needed to cook, toilet paper and towels more than enough. The ONLY thing that was a bummer is the gas grill didn’t work great (flame only stayed low) so we had to do all our cooking inside despite bringing meat to grill. I think the area where the flame comes out just needs to be cleaned. Thankfully however, there was a big grill pan and the stove got hot- so we made out fine cooking on the stove top. Lastly, we loved the history of the house- we felt like we were staying at grandpas cabin. There were family and historical photos all around, and old board games and a log cabin set in the living room that we had fun playing. If you’re skeptical, I say go for it ! We had a blast.
