This was exactly what I was needing. Serenity, tranquility, peace. A real opportunity to be one with nature without sacrificing civilized amenities. Overall this place was wonderful and the extreme private space mixed with the sound of the river all night makes for perfect sleep

This house is truly one of a kind. It felt like stepping into The Croods (the movie)—living in a cave, but an incredibly luxurious one! The kids said it was like being in a fairytale and were genuinely sad to leave. Tucked away by the river and off the beaten path, it had everything we needed for a magical stay.

This is the most unique place you will ever stay! It’s so much fun. We loved it! It’s very nice, comfortable and really cool! We enjoyed the hot tub, playing darts and the river sitting area. My 9 year old is already asking to go back and we certainly will!

Surprise, surprise, surprise

Excellent place to stay for home base to visit Cloudbridge Nature observatory or hot springs and Chirripo The share uniqueness of the house was a treat in itself. The interior was a tranquil sanctuary. Very natural and peaceful. The lighting was an unexpected ambiance. Full kitchen was a plus all you need to be meal ready is ingredients. Washer and dryer on site was a pleasant surprise, especial after a day hiking in the cloud forest. The outside garden is a nice morning walk. Then you have the elevated catwalk to the River where you can sit and watch the birds, including a couple of Momot that were there every day. It has a nice patio area with a grill that is nice to sit on as well. Robert was great in touching base with us and making sure we got in ok,then our host checked in to make sure everything was great as it was. They do offer meals to be made for you we did not use this service but the reviews in the guest book made us wish we would have.😊 The property is safe and quiet. There is a small meat market in town and a grocery store so you can stock up on food items to prepare meals. A little further down the road at a little soda Antogitos del de maiz is good food but you can also get gluten free desserts. Great place to relax and unwind. You will be totally amazed by the house and the host.

Mindblowing and conscious design

This stay was absolutely out of this world. Robert, the owner and designer of the place, is an excellent host, he left us a hand-written welcome note and some goodies. Sleeping next to the river and waking up to nature sounds feels like a movie. The house is well equipped with anything you might need. The design and coziness of the place is undeniable. A place as dreamy as it gets ✨️

The Rocka Verde house is like something out of a movie. It’s truly a fascinating house. The river that runs past the house is beautiful and the gazebo on the rock is a great place for a morning coffee. The house has all the amenities you need and Robert is a very attentive host. We stayed longer than initially planned because we liked it so much.

The house is absolutely unique, and beautifully situated with a river running through the back garden, making sleep filled with wonderful water noises. The house is artistically decorated, with a lot of unique pieces, and it is fully equipped with anything you need. To note, that for access you need a four-wheel-drive.
