My stay at Tru Hilton in Ashland, Virginia was to my 2024 breaking down. While in room 421 I had issues with the toilet, also was locked out my room for 45 minutes due to the battery on the door going completely dead. So therefore no entry. And finally the heat gave out. The belt gave out causing a loud noise coming from the system. I guess it wasn't my day. Happy holidays.

Out of the 3 places we stayed This was the worst. Upon entering the room with my 2 toddler kids, I received a phone from the front desk staff. The tone was accusatory asking, “what the heck we were doing up there?” Honestly, I had no idea what he was talking about. Rather than asking if my kids were making noise (which they were not as they were lying in bed) we weee accused of making noise. We could hear the noise in the background. The problem is that the hard wood floors reverberate. The person’s kid making noise was probably just playing. The design is very European with minimalist style, no storage space, and as mentioned there is no insulation in the floor. The breakfast area has limited seating to eat. While it would not have been terrible the rude behavior of the one particular staff (who happened to be laying down on a couch when I checked in around 8 pm) ensured that this is a place I would never recommend to anyone or ever stay at again. I am sure barring other circumstances it would not have been so terrible. Not a place to bring kids, for sure.

There were several asian lady beatle bugs (they look like lady bugs) all over the room so we moved to a different room and it was the same problem just less of them. The sheets were not that clean crisp sheet, I wondered if they were really clean and the mattress was extremely thin.
