Villa with modern minimalist architecture in the middle of a nature reserve

We offer architecture enthusiasts the chance to rent—by the day, week, or month—this work of art, located on the island's north coast - just beyond the volcanic hills on the outskirts of the village of São Vicente Ferreira and next to the Batalha Golf Course.

Views of the ocean and the island's two main volcanoes come as a complimentary bonus to the experience itself: the sensation of living in a spacious, multi-level glass home featuring premium finishes and a loft-style design by the renowned Portuguese architect Manuela Vieira Braga from Porto.

The south-facing side—being the hottest—features a solid wall facing a 50 m² terrace with a small hot water pool (2m x 2m). The house is arranged over four levels. The first level features underfloor heating and houses the living and dining areas. The second level contains the kitchen; the kitchen table was custom-made according to the owner's designs. The third level comprises the bedroom and a bathroom with underfloor heating. The fourth level is a mezzanine. All levels offer views of the Atlantic Ocean, the lighthouse on the Ribeirinha Peninsula, and the surrounding hills to the south.

Our standard accommodation includes a double bed (180 cm / 70.86 inches wide) with a 240 x 220 cm duvet. If you would prefer two separate duvets or separate beds, please let us know in advance; this service is provided at no extra cost.

You may also request breakfast, which should be arranged in advance, including your preferred delivery time.
Our standard breakfast consists of:
Boiled eggs from a local farm, and a selection of pastries filled with goat cheese, local spinach, beef liver, or homemade cottage cheese. For dessert, we serve baked goods accompanied by homemade pumpkin, fig, and apple jams. Freshly squeezed juice made from local pineapples and oranges is also included. You may choose between two types of tea: Azorean green Hysson or English black Golden Yorkshire. For coffee, there is an automatic machine in your kitchen, allowing you to prepare coffee exactly to your liking. The cost is 49 euros per person, with a minimum order for two people.

We also offer "private driver" and "personal chef" services; please inform us in advance if you would like to take advantage of these options.

The same applies to the delivery of a rental car to your accommodation, as well as private shuttle services to or from Ponta Delgada Airport.

The house is suitable for up to 2 people. Additional guests can stay in the guesthouse, which is located on the same property. It offers 60 m² of living space and is fully equipped, including a kitchen.

The 3,840-square-meter plot of land was acquired in 2004—at a time when the owners were sailing around the world on their own catamaran.

The property is situated 800 meters from the ocean at an elevation of 60 meters above sea level.

Construction of the house took 16 months and was completed in the summer of 2007. For twenty years, the house served as the primary residence for its current owners.

Over the years, it underwent major renovations twice (in 2019 and 2026) before the owners decided to open it to the public as a rental property.
