What a great spot if you want quiet and tranquility, the view was spectacular. Went for a nice walk in the morning along the bluff not a place to go if you do not have a car or don’t bring groceries with you. It’s a bit far out that is what I loved about it.

Great recent and spacious studio, well furnished, huge terrasse. Kitchen equiped with all the required items. The location by the water is quite nice, and the rooftop patio too! Way too cold to use the pool when we were there, but it seems pretty. Easy parking, nice staff. I would only have liked more hanging hooks - in such a wet climate you always need to dry stuff, and with humidity at 80% in the room, it doesn't dry fast!

We absolutely loved our stay at São Vicente Lodge. The views from our room were out of this world and the room was so comfortable. The staff had excellent communication and were very helpful. We loved the location for travelling this beautiful island. Highly recommend!!

Sao Vicente Lodge canceled our reservation (which was made several months in advance) just a few days before our arrival. They never communicated with me about the cancelation; I learned about it from Orbitz. I then had to make numerous requests to receive the refund.

We had a stop-over at Ponta Delgada on our way to JFK, so we stayed there just one night. We took taxi to resort and felt like we were hostages stuck in the middle of nowhere. Checked in at 9pm and struggled to get a taxi to have a dinner (resort is in the remote part of island with NOTHING at all around it, except small village houses and cows roaming the coast). Called receptionist to help us get taxi (24 Hour Central Taxi had no cabs available and the private cab drivers either didn't speak English at all or said they were not coming to Sao Vicete resort). Receptionist lied, saying she called taxi who supposedly waited for us and left., Asked her for the number she dialed and conferenced her in: private cab driver who answered call said in broken English that he was asleep and didn't go out that night. Receptionist then went completely silent, never answering our calls again. This was surreal, terrible experience. Come and stay here if you want to starve yourself and get stuck with no transportation available in the entire island. The breakfast we were served next morning was huge and the staff that delivered it was friendly, but it didn't compensate for horrible experience we had the night we arrived. We had nothing to eat for almost 16 hours, since we hopped onto plane bound to Ponta Delgada from Lisbon. We will never return to this resort or Ponta Delgada.

The location was nice, refreshing with good views of the coast. The place was clean. The link for directions and the phone number listed for the property were both for a different property. In addition to following the directions to a different property, when I called the number listed I was connected to the same wrong property.

Beautiful property overlooking the coast high above the ocean. Centrally located on the north end of the island which makes getting around sight seeing relatively easy. Nicely kept grounds with pool. The staff was absolutely wonderful!! Room was neat and clean with kitchenette. Loved the Nespresso coffee maker! A great place to stay and I highly recommend it!! Already planning my stay for next year!!!

We stayed in Anchova - it has a huge porch on the ground level overlooking hte beautiful pool. It's off to the side so it's not as public to the pool as the other ground level units which is nice for privacy. It can be a bit noisy from the floors above (hear the bathroom water flow) but overall a very very nice room and I'd love to stay again! The parking is located behind a gate (it's to the left before you reach the dirt road at the end). It's a nice walk to the next towns for food or a very quick drive. It's nice to walk along the coast (no beach access here it is on a cliff, but it's gorgeous). All rooms have access to the very large rooftop, it's a great place to view the sunset. There is a picnic table a couple large couches up there.

Absolutely a beautiful place to stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. Location perfect and we had massages right on our balcony overlooking the ocean. Ideal and superb!
