Arrived at the property after transport from the airport, the office was locked and no one responded. I had to book another hotel. After speaking with expedia they informed me i would not get a refund and had no options for me. I would not recommend booking this place.

We needed a hotel for 1 evening and didn't want to stay at the airport. Hotel Duus was fairly close (10 minute taxi ride), located near a picturesque marina and had a restaurant on the premise. The room was clean, bed comfortable, the staff was very responsive and helpful with any inquiries. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant! The lobster bisque soup was outstanding! Not only did our server provide excellent dinner service, but she also arranged for our taxi pick up the next morning. I wish we would have had more time to explore Iceland. Next time!! We would definitely recommend Hotel Duus.

Hard to know where to park, esp. at night. Spots not delineated and lot very dark. Room was on top floor under dormer so on one side of the room there was low head room. The shower leaked such that one person couldn't use the toilet as the same time as someone showering - you'd be soaked. Tiny sink was in the bedroom, not with other bathroom fixtures and almost no place for personal toiletries. Towels very small and no bath mat (would have been drenched, anyway). Only one wash cloth for 2 people. Duvets were skimpy and pillows were small compared to other similarly priced properties we stayed in the last 9 nights. But the worst thing is that when we arrived, the temperature in there was easily 85 degrees or more (F). The bathroom radiator was on full blast.

Perfect for 24 hour layovers: 7 minutes from KEF. Restaurant is fabulous. We had a rented car and explored the seaside villages, the geothermal areas and the lighthouse. Some fun bird watching. Bed was comfortable. Cons: noisy front door that might wake you. Pillows a bit limp and only one each. Only one partial roll of toilet paper and we ran out in the middle of the night.

We received all our check in information pre-trip. Our room was ready when promised and was clean and very comfortable. It was all “self -serve” so if you need a place with a reception desk keep that in mind.
