Hotel Berg was such a nice treat to stay in our last night in Iceland and is extremely convenient to get to the Keflevik airport. Lovely atmosphere with a front lounge area you wanted to hang out in. We took advantage of the hot tub at night which was such a bonus luxury. Would stay again!

Disappointing.

We were looking forward to our stay but the initial first good impression faded during the night and especially at breakfast. We were woken by banging and disturbance from the guests above leaving for the airport at 4am. The floors are hardwood and the noise above just penetrated so loud it woke us up. Our room was facing the car park which meant you could easily hear guests leaving very early and full on light beams into the room. We couldn't settle back so decided to shower and go for breakfast. Upon entering the restaurant we couldn't see the buffet and only a simple prepeared basic breakfast plate laid out on each table. I enquired and the buffet option was removed a few weeks back. The cost was excessive based on what was offered so we had no option but to get breakfast in the airport. Whilst the hotel looks modern, smart and presentable thats where our positive impression ends. The staff in fairness were polite but the hotel seemed short staffed or thats the impression we had. I was disappointed especially as a standard room cost us around 270 euros for one night excluding that breakfast option which was around 30 euros each!

Convenient airport hotel

Hotel was very accommodating. We used the airport shuttle. Interestingly, they do not pick up from the airport, only drive guests to the airport. I would stay there again.

The restaurant had few choices, but was excellent and the service very good. Comfortable beds. Geothermal heat, and old fashion key entry to room. The only thing we should have done, was inquire more about the thermal heat. It was hot in the room. It is a small boutique hotel, about 5 minutes from the airport. I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel was conveniently located near the airport. The shuttle for our departing flight was good. Need to take a cab to get to the hotel if you are arriving into Iceland. The front desk staff member was not very welcoming and she didn't offer any information about the area of ask if we had any questions. The highlight of the hotel was the restaurant where the service was warm and welcoming and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the restaurant. If you have a car this would be a good option for a hotel with easy access to nearby venues and scenic routes.

This hotel advertises an airport shuttle service. Pay attention to the prepositions - they offer shuttle service TO the airport. Not from. They recommend you take a taxi from the airport to the hotel. This 5 minute car ride will cost you approximately $50 +/- $5. You can try public transit- if you can find it. This will take approximately an hour and will cost you about $20 per person. Welcome to Iceland.
