Built on 150-year-old foundations, Villa Angelo is a restored stone retreat in Kato Poros, Rethymno. Designed for groups or families requiring absolute privacy, the layout features four independent en-suite bedrooms. The property combines original Cretan architecture with premium amenities, including an indoor pool table and an enclosed courtyard with a 24 sqm swimming pool. It functions as a secluded base for exploring local nature trails, located a short drive from the beaches of the northern coast.



The Space



Indoor Living

The interior architecture preserves the property's heritage, featuring a hand-carved stone arch that connects the open-plan living area to the fully equipped kitchen. The design utilizes natural stone, muted tones, and clean lines to ensure a functional flow. A staircase provides both internal and external access to the upper level, granting structural autonomy to the first-floor suites.



Bedrooms & Bathrooms

All bedrooms feature air-conditioning, quality linens, and private en-suite bathrooms.



Ground Floor Bedroom 1: Double bed, en-suite bathroom, minimal design, accessed via a sculpted archway.



Ground Floor Bedroom 2: Double bed, en-suite bathroom, direct access to the courtyard and pool.



First Floor Bedroom 3: Double bed, en-suite bathroom, private balcony with views of the olive groves.



First Floor Master Suite: Double bed, en-suite bathroom, private fireplace, in-room pool table, dual access points.



Outdoor Area

The enclosed private courtyard is paved with smooth stone and centers on a 24 sqm swimming pool with natural shade and loungers. A pergola covers a large dining table situated next to a stone-built BBQ and a ping pong table. The structured environment integrates original architectural elements, including a preserved and illuminated old stone well.



Guest Access

Guests have exclusive access to the entire property, the private courtyard, and the swimming pool. No areas or facilities are shared.



Other things to note

Kato Poros is a traditional, non-commercial village with immediate access to local hiking paths. A rental car is mandatory to access Episkopi Beach, Rethymno, and larger supermarkets. The village environment is quiet, featuring an authentic local kafeneio within walking distance, while selected eateries in nearby Episkopi offer direct delivery to the property.
