Cocooned by extensive gardens and olive tree-laden countryside, Villa Aclando is a wonderful place to sample a taste of typical Cretan rural life alongside all the pleasures of a traditional family beach holiday.
Interiors are bright and welcoming, combining rustic Cretan charm and modern comforts. Set over two levels, the open plan main living area, double bedroom and shower room can be found on the first floor which also boasts a large balcony offering panoramic pool and countryside views. The ground floor offers two further bedrooms and a bathroom along with a small seating area on the covered terrace overlooking the pool and countryside beyond.
The lawned gardens yield a glorious setting to enjoy barbecues, table-tennis and lounging by the large private pool, while children play happily with the host of toys on offer. Located at the foothills of Vrisinas Mountain, the villa is an oasis of peace and tranquility with rolling countryside as far as the eye can see, but still close to the heart of the action. In the daytime, the locals restaurants and supermarket can be reached on foot, while a scenic drive will lead you to beautiful Cretan villages or the vibrant harbour town of Rethymnon with it’s charming historic old town. Short drives to the north coast offer lazy days on long sandy beaches, while the villas excellent position also beckons you to the crystalline waters of Crete’s stunning south coastline. Villa Aclando offers village charm while still being only a short drive from all that this wonderful area of Crete has to offer.
