Gateway Suites - Pathos

Romantic suite for two: double glass shower cabin by the bed, in a secluded first-floor corner beside a courtyard. Pathos means passion in Greek. The 17 m² suite has one double bed, coffee makers, a kettle, a mini fridge and wine glasses. You stay in Rethymno Old Town, next to the Venetian Harbour and the Lighthouse. Breakfast is not included in the stay; it is available at an extra charge and can also be served in your suite. Reception is open until 23:00.

A glass shower by the bed: the centrepiece of the suite is a double glass shower cabin, set right next to the bed.

A secluded corner with a courtyard: Pathos is on the first floor, in a private, secluded spot of the hotel. The exterior courtyard next to the suite is the place for a morning coffee in the sun or a drink in the evening.

The Old Town on foot: the Venetian Harbour and the Lighthouse are next to the hotel, and fish taverns, restaurants, cafes, patisseries, bars and the open-air shopping area are a few minutes` walk away. A buffet breakfast is served at the hotel. Breakfast is not included in the stay; it is available at an extra charge and can also be served in your suite.

The space: 17 m² for up to 2 guests, with 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, and 1 bathroom. Air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, TV, a safe, room-darkening shades and clothing storage are provided.

Practical points: there is no kitchen; the suite has coffee makers, an electric kettle, a mini fridge and wine glasses. Linens, towels, a hair dryer, an iron and eco-friendly bathroom amenities are provided.

Guests have private use of the first-floor suite; the entrance and reception (open until 23:00) are at 4a Nikolaou Plastira Street.

Gateway Suites stands on Damvergi Street in Rethymno Old Town, one of the streets that lead into the town from the Venetian Harbour. It is a romantic corner of a town that is lively all year round, and everything a couple needs for a city break is close by.

The Old Town is easy to explore on foot: the harbour, restaurants and shops are a few minutes` walk from the suite.

By road, Chania airport is approx. 65 km away and Heraklion airport approx. 85 km. Chania port (Souda) is approx. 50 km away and Heraklion port approx. 80 km.

Parking: free parking nearby, subject to availability on the day of arrival; a space cannot be reserved in advance. Paid public parking, charged by the hour, is also close by.

Keys are collected at the reception. The entrance and the reception are at 4a Nikolaou Plastira Street. Check-in is from 16:00 to 23:00 and check-out is by 11:00; please tell us your arrival time in advance and send us a message if your travel plans change on the day.

The suite is for a maximum of 2 guests. With the glass shower cabin right next to the bed, it is suited to couples. The suite is on the first floor and the building has no elevator.

Smoking is allowed outdoors only. Pets are not allowed, and parties or events are not permitted. Quiet hours are 14:00-18:00 and 23:00-08:00, as the Old Town is a residential area and sound carries in its narrow lanes. A valid ID or passport is required for every guest at check-in.
