My second stay here. Good base for visiting the surrounding area, short walk to the town for lots of eating and drinking options. Hotel restaurant has a good, varied menu. Nice big hardstanding car park, staff friendly and helpful. Good size room. Plenty of storage.

The rooms need a complete refurbish very old fashioned, carpet torn, skirting boards in bathroom damaged, bath not suitable as my mum couldnt get in to shower bathroom all out dated. Food in bar curry was amazing, steak bites was terrible for how much they cost. Staff was great.

The room wasn’t clean, the headboard on the bed was worn and ripped, underneath the bed was filthy and full of hairs, a previous guests glasses were left in the room, a small used soap bar used unhygienic and not enough for 2 guests, other items were also not replenished, despite having a previous stay at this hotel which was good this one did not live up to the previous standard and the member of staff on reception was also quite rude

Unfortunately there was a few tiles missing from the roof which let in pigeons, at around 4.30am on both morning of my stay they started to coo and run around above the ceiling making quite a racket...reported the issue to the hotel who said that they were getting someone out that day to sort the issue, food was good.
