The chalet was lovingly renovated from the ground up in 2022 using high-quality natural materials and furnished with exclusive furnishings.

The Steinplatte apartment is the largest in Chalet Viol, with approximately 160 m² spread over two floors. This high-end apartment is located on the first floor and top floor and features a beautiful, high-end kitchen-dining area with a fully equipped kitchen, an inviting kitchen island, and a large oak table that seats 6–8 people. From the kitchen, the panoramic windows offer a beautiful view of the Kaiser Mountains. The attic also features a large sitting area with a glass fireplace, a TV, a cozy reading nook, and an inviting west-facing loggia—perfect for enjoying lovely evenings outdoors. The Steinplatte apartment features 3 cozy bedrooms on the upper floor with box-spring beds, reclaimed wood paneling, and a TV in each, as well as 2 beautiful bathrooms with bathtubs and additional walk-in rain showers. The highlight on this floor is the sauna room, which features a sauna for 4–5 people, 2 loungers, and direct access to the balcony. The apartment includes two parking spaces in front of the house.
In total, Chalet Viol has two electric vehicle charging stations, which guests can use for a separate fee, as well as a separate, lockable garden shed with e-bike charging stations. Each of our 3 apartments also has its own basement storage area for additional equipment or luggage that isn’t needed during your stay.

Reit im Winkl: A Climatic Health Resort According to Wikipedia, the designation “climatic health resort” is awarded to “localities whose air and climate, according to an expert assessment, possess qualities that are beneficial for recreation and health.” Reit im Winkl was designated a health resort in 1956 and has consistently met the criteria for this designation through its ongoing efforts ever since. One key factor is its high elevation, which ensures that summer heat is moderated and nights remain pleasantly cool. The town is surrounded by extensive mountain forests of the Chiemgau Alps and, in terms of its general climate, belongs to the “Bavarian Alps” climate region. The character of the weather is decisively determined by the local conditions—that is, by the influence of the mountain ranges and valley incisions on weather patterns. In the summer, Reit im Winkl is ideal for long hikes and walks. But mountain bikers, golfers, and tennis players will also find plenty to enjoy. We renovated Chalet Viol with great attention to detail in 2022/2023 and rebuilt it using high-quality natural materials. Sustainability is very important to us, which is why we heat the chalet with natural heat and provide our guests with two electric car charging stations, as well as charging options for e-bikes in a lockable garden shed. The entire house is equipped with a fresh-air system, ensuring that the air in the rooms is always fresh and comfortably tempered. We hope you’ll feel right at home with us.
