The staff was good, very helpful and courteous. no one cleaned our room and we stayed two nights , we kept having to go up to the lobby to have our keys reprogrammed and we weren't the only ones. we had to do it three times, it was very inconvenient.

Nice MCM building, great price

Looks great, decent location, cleanliness is very poor. They obviously don’t check the rooms or outdoors. We had a pet room on the ground floor, however the actual bedroom floor was filthy, we mopped up some spilled water and the towel was black. Outside the patio doors was littered with cigarette bits and the smell of weed from other guests was terrible. Our room stank of stale smoke. Bar was lively, we never got our complimentary beverages as we saw beer being served in plastic cups with the barmaids painted nails inside the glass and liquid. I asked about towels for swimming and the nice receptionist suggested if there were none out there, to call reception. Obviously she knew there would be none, and she was correct. Basically very thin on staff, badly run hotel, with quality control and training issues. Breakfast was good and the pool looked decent.

This place has been in suspended animation since the 70s but in the best way. I could imagine families parking their trucks with boats in tow to spend a night or two and then head to the lake back when the Shasta waterline was full. And like they were in the time capsule as well, the locals still show up for live music and drinks (most likely covers of Eagles songs). It’s got the charm of 80s movies set in the PNW but it’s not trying to. The area around the property is a little sketch at night and it’s surrounded by a mall with Darden chain restaurants. But the hotel grounds are actually pretty nice. The staff were great too.

We've traveled to this motel 4 times this year just for weekend getaway The highlight always has been the hot tub and the pool This time though the hot tub was out of order and I didn't call first my mistake Some Compensation would have been in order just make sure you call first

Choose someplace else

The hotel is very dated and in need of a refresh. The room wasn't very clean. The beds were uncomfortable. Pillows were terrible. The hall smelled, and the carpet was filthy. The air conditioner wasn't great and often did not turn on. The room was not serviced during my entire stay. Getting fresh towels, getting beds made, and removing trash would have gone a long way. The pool was nice, especially with the heat. There are a lot of other hotels in this price point in the area- select someplace else.

The breakfast that you pay 899 for is an actual basic continental breakfast that you can get at any hotel for free with your stay that was a joke and a waste of money

Staff awesome. Prepaid checkin great! Parking lot well lit. On site dining and family bar. Pool very nice. No elevator to second floor. Dogs allowed west side! Easy parking for truck and cargo. Shopping surrounds the area. Every known food is nearby.

⸻ This property is quite old and in need of significant upgrades, particularly with the carpet flooring and the furniture on the balconies. Another major issue is that smokers are placed in rooms closer to the pool, which causes cigarette smoke and odor to spread throughout the entire area, making it uncomfortable for non-smokers.

We were not informed that Room Service only cleans every third day. A rude surprise with no coffee or clean towels on Day 2 of our stay, We contacted the Front Desk and they said they would put coffee in the room. They did not, We called again. They did not. The last morning when someone knocked on the door and we were told by a nice young man that he was waking us up as he was told, He finally got us clean towels and coffee,

Location was good. Wifi was frustrating as it kept kicking me off after a few minutes. It was clean, but you can tell that many corners were cut (costco krikland kcups for coffee). Bar closes early, but it was nice. Staff were friendly. Keys worked each time and parking was good.
