Dirt and stains on the walls, floors, lampshades etc. got bug bites from the bedding though they were not bed bugs. Toilet not fully attached to ground so it moves if sat on. Tears or burns on chair. People walking around outside rooms all night, thin walls made it able to hear other guests at all hours. Generally felt unsafe and left as soon as possible

I have never stayed in a fleabag flophouse before. Check in was 3:00 pm Thursday afternoon. I arrived at 5:00, got my key, went to my room to find the maid dragging the bedding out the door. Two hours after check in they were attempting to clean the room. Well not cleaning. The only clean thing was the bedding. The floor was filthy. It took two days before they even vacuumed my room But wait, there's more. The flip lock on the door was installed wrong and would not flip over and lock the door. So many people have tried to use the lock, the door jamb has been pulled loose. The overflow hole in the sink had been destroyed forcing the sink to slump down so that the sink never fully drains. As a result the sink is stained and constantly harboring dirty water. There is a hole in the wall to the left of the bed. Management fixed the hole by stuffing toilet paper in it. With this same wall the wallpaper is separating from the wall. There is no towel rack in the bathroom. There is one towel rack bracket fastened to the wall, and one towel rack holder on a second bracket, but no towel rack The curtain rod has been pulled down so that it bends down making the shower curtain gather at the low point in the middle. Needless to say, the shower curtain does not keep the water in the shower. Desk clerk said maintenance had been informed, but these are the same people who took two days after I checked in to even vacuum the damned room. These problems were not new.
