The room was clean and comfortable and quiet. Beds and pillows were comfortable and soft. Breakfast was good, other than a pancake machine that did not work properly. I recommend switching it out with a waffle maker instead. The only negative review would be the pool area, very run down, hot tub not working properly and the chlorine content was so high you could smell it through the lobby.

I usually stay at this hotel every year when traveling from Oregon to California. This year, I noticed it has been fully renovated, and the room we stayed in was truly five-star quality. I highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at both the Hampton Inn Suites & the Holiday Inn Express on this trip. Both were similar in price so let me compare them in the ways I noticed. TV - Both excellent. Hampton Inn (HMP) wins because their channels were easier to navigate and closed captions worked. Breakfast - Both were decent. HMP wins because they have waffles. Holiday Inn Express (HIEX) has pancakes. The juice dispenser wasn’t working at HIEX. Check out time - HMP extended us to 12:30 pm for free. HIEX was a firm 11:00 am, no exceptions. Rooms - HIEX is slightly better. Tall ceilings and a little more spacious than HMP. Bathroom was bigger and nicer at HIEX; however, the water pressure was a lot better at HMP. Service - Both hotels had polite, friendly staff. Excellent on both. Unfortunately, at HIEX, my fridge didn’t work. I asked the front desk to get me a working fridge, they said they would, and 8 hours later, it still wasn’t working. They did not offer me anything in exchange. Overall, Hampton Inn wins, but Holiday Inn is also a good place to stay.

This is about the 6th time Ive stayed at the Pinnacle. The staff are great. The hotel is clean. The restaurant has good food. The location is great + very walkable. The sea ferry to downtown/city center is a quick 10min walk away. I had my dog with me for the first time & he was as welcomed as I was.
