Summary:
Situated in the heart of Goring, enjoy easy access to local shops, restaurants and cafes from this perfectly located home. Within the grounds of one of Goring's iconic old houses, this newly built annex is a stones throw from the river and just a 10min walk from the train station. There is ample parking onsite, with free car charging. We can provide extras to enhance your stay inc, laundry facilities, private gym, ice-bath and sauna; as well as Personal Training, SUP hire/lessons and yoga.
The Space:
This lovely Annex is perfectly located just a stone's throw from the River Thames and right in the heart of the village. It's only a couple of minutes' walk to the local pubs, shops, and restaurants, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful escape or an active break.
The Annex is a stylish, newly built space, set over two floors and finished to a high standard. It's both comfortable and practical. Downstairs, you'll find a light and airy kitchenette and dining area with a large table -great for working, eating, or just relaxing with a coffee. Upstairs is a spacious bedroom with a king-sized bed and a cozy lounge area featuring a large single sofa bed. There's also a luxurious bathroom with a powerful walk-in shower.
There's plenty of parking right outside.
If you're into fitness, we also have a separate gym building with a sauna, available on request for a small extra charge. Whether you're here for walking, cycling, paddleboarding, or just to unwind, there's plenty to do. We're right on the ridgeway path, King Alfred's Way, and the Swan Way - plus just two minutes from the Thames Path. For water lovers, our friends at SUPLife offer paddleboard rentals and lessons, and PureBoating is nearby for electric boat hire.
The Annex is ideal for anyone wanting a mix of village life, outdoor adventure, and home comforts. And if you'd rather stay in, you can kick back and enjoy movies or sports on the full Sky TV package.
The space is fully self-contained with its own private entrance. The king-sized bed sleeps two, and the sofa bed is a large single—perfect for one adult or one or two children. The kitchenette has a microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster (note: there's no oven or hob).
We also offer a few optional extras - just let us know if you're interested, and we'll share the price list. This needs to be paid before your stay.

Goring-on-Thames is a charming village located along the River Thames, near the Berkshire-Oxfordshire border. Visitors can wander across the historic Goring & Streatley Bridge, explore the walking trails of the Thames Path, or perhaps enjoy a leisurely boat ride on the river. There are several cozy pubs and delightful cafes, adding to the peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere that makes Goring unique.
Getting Around:
Stow House on Thames Road enjoys excellent connectivity thanks to its proximity to Goring & Streatley railway station, just a short walk away. This station sits on the Great Western Main Line, with frequent Great Western Railway trains—typically every 30 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, and hourly on Sundays—linking Goring with London Paddington, Reading, and Didcot.
The scenic Goring and Streatley Bridge, carrying the B4009 road over the Thames, connects Goring with Streatley and provides vehicular and foot access across the river. The entire area lies within the Goring Gap, a key transport corridor that also includes the A329 road between Reading and Oxford, as well as walking routes like the Thames Path and The Ridgeway.
All told, Stow House benefits from excellent rail, road, and riverside trail access in a beautifully connected riverside setting.
