This is a hidden gem hiding behind a very unassuming facade. The position on the estuary is beautiful with no traffic, very quiet and peaceful. The hotel has been nicely renovated and the food above average.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was in a beautiful location. Our room was clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. It is well located, within walking distance to a main line station, bus network as well as a narrow gauge railway. There are also electric car charging facilities at a nearby car park. The food was good and all the staff were helpful and friendly.

The hotel is in a lovely place facing the sea with areas to walk. A few minutes walk from the railway museum and train rides to a beautiful area. The only thing I was unhappy with was that not all the staff worked as a team at meal times. The rooms, facilities and amenities were all lovely. Staff were approachable.

Fantastic hotel with amazing food and staff. Just a suggestion the hallway and room very hot with the heating on full blast, which on the hottest day of the year was uncomfortable for sleeping, but otherwise amazing as always
