This historic half-timbered house, in an idyllic, sunny location, sits directly on the Elbe (with a view of the river) and is located in Niederrathen (on the right bank of the Elbe). The spa town of Rathen is a health resort in the heart of Saxon Switzerland. Whether you’re seeking peace and relaxation or planning an active vacation—such as rock climbing and hiking—you’ll be just as well taken care of here. Our two vacation apartments were renovated in early 2015 and freshly refurbished in 2026. Both are suitable for two people. In 2020, the large vacation apartment on the first floor was rated as a 5-star vacation apartment by the German Tourism Association (Deutscher Tourismusverband e.V.). In winter, let yourself be enchanted by the crackling fireplace and the view of the Elbe River.

The Elbjuwel vacation apartments offer accommodations with free Wi-Fi and garden views in Rathen. The property, situated directly on the Elbe with wonderful views of the river and the Elbe Valley, is located 10 km from Pirna.

The ground-floor vacation apartment features a bedroom and living room with a fireplace, as well as a kitchen with a dining area and a bathroom. There is also a south-facing sun terrace and a private garden area with lounge chairs.

The duplex apartment is located on the 1st floor and top floor. It features 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom with bed linens and towels, a living room with a couch and flat-screen satellite TV, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. It also features a side balcony facing west with a view of the Elbe River. Due to the sloped ceilings, the apartment is not suitable for tall guests.

Dresden is 47 km from the apartment, and Bad Schandau is 9 km away. The nearest airport, Dresden Airport, is 61 km away.
