We appreciated the convenient location and the ability to make coffee. Several restaurants were within a short walking distance, which was very convenient. We stayed in the lodge. However, we found several insects in our room, and we did not find the bed very comfortable. We were also traveling by motorcycle and had a fall when entering the parking lot because of the loose gravel and unpaved surface.

We stayed at the Moosehead while on our way to Dinosaur National Monument. The staff was quick to check us in; the property was clean, and the cabin was exactly what we needed, with a surprisingly comfortable bed. They provided coffee in the room, which was a nice bonus for an early morning. If you're just passing through, the Canyon Pintado is a quick drive and worth checking out for some petroglyphs, if that interests you at all. 5*, would moosehead again
