Perfect for 1 nighter heading to or from the south

Great affordable stop, we had 3 rooms of 4 booked wth two shared loos and a shower and it worked well for us. The breakfast was great too.

Good location, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Maybe the other rooms were nicer but the room with twin beds was just right near the parking space and weirdly laid out. It just looked ‘stripped’. Old curtains, no headboard, harsh overhead lights, sink in the room corner (which wouldn’t fit even a small bottle)

Comfortable and convenient stop on the way south

The room provided adequate comfort. It wasn’t luxurious, but it was clean. It was nice that breakfast was included. The location is perfect, right along Highway 1 for traveling south, such as to Vik.

This was the second time I booked a room at the Kanslarinn. However, two years ago I booked a room at the Kanslarinn Hotel, and this year my daughter and I stayed at the Kanslarinn Hostel. Both the hotel and hostel are at the same location, but have separate entrances. While the Kanslarinn Hotel includes private bathrooms, the Kanslarinn Hostel includes shared bathrooms. There were four rooms on our floor with one toilet, and one full bathroom, which included a toilet, sink, and shower. We didn't have any issues sharing the bathrooms. Both hotel and hostel included a breakfast buffet including cheese, cold cuts, fried and scrambled eggs, bacon, bread, butter, jam, tomato and cucumber slices, cereal, skyr, apple and orange juices, tea and coffee. The rooms in both cases were super clean and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable.

Die außen Fassade läßt ein schocken,aber im Zimmer und das gemeinschafts Bad waren sehr sauber.Zimmer recht groß, Personal sehr hilfsbereit.Sehr gutes Frühstück.wir würden es wieder Buchen.

Gute Lage, freundlicher Empfang an der Rezeption. Wir wurden kostenlos upgegraded. Räumlichkeiten sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles sauber, ordentlich und bequem. Frühstücksbuffet war ausreichend und lecker.
