Haus Waldrast is a family-run vacation home with four vacation apartments in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. Our home is located in the “Im Tal” neighborhood and offers a great starting point for a vacation in the Berchtesgadener Land region and the surrounding mountains. Here, you can stay in one of four individually furnished vacation apartments: Almrausch, Bergblick, Edelweiß, or Enzian. Depending on the apartment, they can accommodate 2 to 4 people. This makes Haus Waldrast ideal for couples, families, and anyone who would like to spend their vacation independently in their own vacation apartment. Four Vacation Apartments for Your Stay in Ramsau Our vacation apartments vary in size, layout, and amenities. You can choose from apartments with a balcony or terrace, as well as separate bedrooms and private kitchens or kitchen areas. The Edelweiß vacation apartment, at 90 m², is our largest and can accommodate 1 to 4 people. The “Bergblick” vacation apartment measures 60 m² and is also suitable for up to 4 people. “Almrausch” and “Enzian” each offer 55 m² of living space and accommodate 2 to 3 people. This allows you to choose the vacation apartment that best suits your personal vacation preferences. A family-run business with a rich history: Haus Waldrast has been in the family for several generations. Katarina and Josef Maier built the house in 1948. Initially, it served as the base for a trucking company. Starting in 1975, the building was converted into a guesthouse offering breakfast, and additional guest rooms were added as early as 1977. Irmgard and Josef Maier ran the property from 1984 to 2015. In 2015, Kerstin and Josef Maier Jr. took over the family business. As part of this transition, the former guest rooms were renovated and converted into vacation apartments. Today, the Maier family welcomes guests in four vacation apartments, continuing the legacy of Haus Waldrast in Ramsau. The apartment is located on the upper floor of Haus Waldrast and features a west-facing balcony—a lovely spot to spend some time outdoors after an eventful day of vacationing. A raised bed awaits you in the separate bedroom. The living area offers additional sleeping options with a sleeper sofa and a separate single bed, as well as a cozy dining nook and a TV. The open-concept kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything you need to prepare your own meals during your stay. The two separate bathrooms with showers and toilets are particularly convenient for groups. Free Wi-Fi and two TVs round out the amenities. With its layout, the Bergblick vacation apartment is ideal for couples as well as families or a group vacation for up to four people.
