Haus Waldrast is a family-run vacation home with four vacation apartments in Ramsau near Berchtesgaden. Our home is located in the “Im Tal” neighborhood and offers a great starting point for a vacation in the Berchtesgadener Land region and the surrounding mountains. Here, you can stay in one of four individually furnished vacation apartments: Almrausch, Bergblick, Edelweiß, or Enzian. Depending on the apartment, they can accommodate 2 to 4 people. This makes Haus Waldrast ideal for couples, families, and anyone who would like to spend their vacation independently in their own vacation apartment. Four Vacation Apartments for Your Stay in Ramsau Our vacation apartments vary in size, layout, and amenities. You can choose from apartments with a balcony or terrace, as well as separate bedrooms and private kitchens or kitchen areas. The Edelweiß apartment, at 90 m², is our largest and accommodates 1 to 4 people. The Bergblick vacation apartment measures 60 m² and is also suitable for up to 4 people. The Almrausch and Enzian apartments each offer 55 m² of living space and accommodate 2 to 3 people. This allows you to choose the vacation apartment that best suits your personal vacation preferences. A family-run business with a rich history: Haus Waldrast has been in the family for several generations. Katarina and Josef Maier built the house in 1948. Initially, it served as the headquarters for a trucking company. Starting in 1975, the building was converted into a guesthouse offering breakfast, and additional guest rooms were added as early as 1977. From 1984 to 2015, Irmgard and Josef Maier ran the property. In 2015, Kerstin and Josef Maier Jr. took over the family business. As part of this transition, the former guest rooms were renovated and converted into vacation apartments. Today, the Maier family welcomes guests to four vacation apartments, continuing the legacy of Haus Waldrast in Ramsau. Our “Almrausch” vacation apartment offers 55 m² of space for 2 to 3 people and combines comfortable amenities with a cozy atmosphere. The apartment is located on the first floor and features a west-facing terrace. Here, you can start your day in Ramsau in a completely relaxed way or spend some time outdoors after your activities. The separate bedroom is equipped with a comfortable bed. The living room features a sleeper sofa, a cozy dining area, and a TV. This means the apartment offers plenty of space even for a party of three. In the separate kitchen, you can prepare your own meals during your vacation exactly as you like. Amenities include a stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, and other practical kitchen appliances. There is also a bathroom with a shower and toilet, as well as free Wi-Fi. The Almrausch vacation rental is thus a lovely vacation home for couples and small families who want to explore Ramsau and the Berchtesgadener Land from here.
