Clean room, great staff, close to Manuel Antonio and the beach. I actually was able to walk to the beach. The view from my room’s balcony was fantastic and the view from the dining area was spectacular! My room and bathroom felt a little outdated and I didn’t have hot water, only cold. The bed was very comfortable. Overall a great place and the positives outweigh the negatives.

This hotel definitely has the best views in Manuel Antonio. The sunset and the view of the ocean were absolutely gorgeous. I highly recommend eating dinner at the hotel restaurant during sunset. We were on the top floor with ocean view and it was stunning. The only issue was that the elevator would go up to our floor but it wouldn’t go down. We didn’t mind walking down the stairs but it was tough when we were going to check out and had to carry our luggage.

This hotel was very clean and in a great location! It was very secure and safe! The views were absolutely amazing !! We enjoyed our very abundant and delicious free breakfast every morning looking over the ocean! The monkeys also came out every morning swinging in the trees right above us! Loved it would def stay again!

I was with my family , just in july 2025 , for my opinion this is the best hotel with the best view in manuel Antonio area, has 360 view , and if you rent the room in the main building , is amazing !!! next the hotel have to many shooping and restaurants that you can walk , is so practice , also the service and tha atention is great, tha staff is so professional.

The views are breathtaking. Beds were super comfortable. Housekeeping did a great job every day and the breakfast was incredible- buffet style with lots of options. We ate dinner once at the restaurant on site and it was very expensive and the food wasn't that good, but again, the view is so amazing it was worth it. The walk to the beach could be brutal if you aren't used to walking up hill for 20 minutes straight, but you can also take your own car down the beach access road if it has decent clearance as the shuttle options are pretty limited. The beach is stunning.

We absolutely loved our time at La Mariposa. It was clean, conveniently located to great dining, quiet -- but by far our favorite was the view and the staff! The view is the most spectacular dining view we've ever seen. It's a wrap-around view of the mountains in the distance, the national park / rainforest to one side and the expanse of the pacific ocean. It's beautiful at both sunrise and sunset! Several restaurants in the area having stunning views of the ocean but absolutely none compare to La Mariposa and its onsite restaurant Le Papillon. It's truly jaw dropping. The pool and sunset bar share the view as well. The staff were incredibly gracious, kind and accommodating. Alan at the front desk is an absolute gem of a person -- we adored him and he took excellent care of us. My wife and daughters also loved the resident cat Marina who the hotel has kindly adopted. We were greeted by monkeys every morning when we walked out our door -- they always visit early in the morning and my daughters had the best time poking their heads out each morning and seeing the monkeys racing around -- some with babies on their backs. A sloth took up residence in a beautiful almond tree that the kids would go visit each morning at breakfast. We would stay here again in an instant.

They did not give the room shown in the picture it was much smaller and only one window with a dark hall to walk into the room. 1st night was sleepless due to the amount of spiders and mosquitoes nested in the ceils above the beds. Which was not evident when we check into the room after waiting 3 hours for it to be cleaned. The sliding door did not close properly and when we returned to our room after 10 pm there was NO staff available to help us until the next morning. Next afternoon we asked maid to clean the ceiling and the bedding after cleaning the ceilings which she did.
